[SLE] MORE PC card woes

Okay, I compiled a 2.2.14 kernel and installed the latest version of PC Card Services. Now it sees both slots and detects the SCSI card beautifully, but it refuses to load the network module. On bootup, I get "eth0 - module not found." I aliased the module in /etc/conf.modules and it still does it. Any ideas? Could I have left something out of the kernel? Any help would be appreciated. [SLE] Why printer slows down Linux box?

Hello Linux folks! When I print on Epson LQ-570+ dot matrix printer attached to LPT2 on my Linux box, it slows whole my Linux server system down for the time while it's printing. I mean that everything gets slower: mouse cursor, Internet browsing, other applications and so on. Kind of a'la Windoze behavior. When I print to another printer connected to my second Linux box over my home network everything works fine. Could somebody please clarify why it is happening and how to correct this? Or should I just assemble another junky computer with NIC, connect printer to it and use it as a dedicated network printer server? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. What I would do is copy your working _kernel_ to a floppy. After you do the win98 reinstall, boot linux from the floppy. Assuming the win install hasn't messed with any of your linux partitions, it should come up normally if a little slow. [SLE] win98 and linux

Hi Win98 has gone belly up and I need to re-install. However I want to be sure win98 does not mess up booting linux or the linux paritions. What is the best method to re-install win98 without harming linux? I normally boot linux and win98 via lilo from the MBR, I think that the best method would be to make a copy of lilo on to a floppy and use this after win98 installation and then re-write lilo to MBR. Would the above be the best option, are there any pitfalls? [SLE] Korganizer problems

All of a sudden all my entries are read-only. Can't edit them anymore (they appear grey). New entries can be added and edited. (They appeat blue.) Also the timer daemon icon doesn't appear anymore on my menubar. I have had this before but never found the cause of it. Anyone knows what is going on here?
