The openSUSE Marketing Team will have a meeting tomorrow (17 March 2009) at
17:00 UTC[1] (18:00CET, 13:00 EST). The meeting will take place in the
#opensuse-project channel on Freenode.
The agenda is on the openSUSE Wiki[2], feel free to add questions or agenda
items if you have something for the Marketing Team that's not on the agenda
already.
And if you can't make it to the meeting, feel free to post to the wiki or
bring up your topic on the opensuse-marketing list at any time. Thanks!

Hi,
Frankly I don't think the -testing ML is subscribed by a high number of
readers, and I'm I bit bored of being redirected from wiki to -project
to -marketing and then to -testing.
If the idea has to be done, let's discuss of it, or let's drop it. This
division of mailing lists is completely arbitrary and artificial, and it
is one of the problems that make participation harder in openSUSE.
This discussion in my view had to be done in a high traffic ML, and
that's why I started it in -project, so that most of the people could
read it. If it happens on a small, specific and mainly technical ML, it
won't surely attract any new participant, which is what, in the end,
happens with many of the initiatives we have, that stay well hidden in
the wiki or in some ML. And it is also the reasons why I and others
didn't know of the existance of the -testing IRC channel and ML when the
idea came out.
Regards,
A.

Some time ago I proposed the formation of a community-based testing
team. The idea was discussed on the -project ML:
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-project/2009-02/msg00092.html
I reopen the discussion here as suggested during the project meeting we
had on Jan 11th.

Hi all,
Another request - been asked for user stories / case studies for
openSUSE. This request is only for references, so anyone using
openSUSE that'd like to talk about it (beyond desktop/personal use)
would be interesting.
We probably ought to have a wiki page that details case studies beyond
personal use as well. Anyone interested in helping with this, please
let me know.
Best,
Zonker
