Hi, When I send an email, signed with PGP, with thunderbird, I get a message box that says: Send operation aborted. I had this problem with the update to milestone 8 from milestone 7 and have it again with the update from milestone 8 to rc1. It looks like DNS does not work anymore. Hi, I think I like the new feature of Thunderbird, used to index all email. I wonder what are the advantages over beagle, or if it could use the beagle engine instead. System is on an EeePC 900, I had Milestone 8 running just fine. I upgraded with zypper dup from Milestone 8 to Rc1. So far I had been using this USB GSM modem with wvdial quite swimmingly. I thought I'll try a fresh install since this one has been upgraded several times and it's been perhaps borked somehow during my experiments. I attached a USB CD drive and booted from NET install CD. The installation stops to USB drivers somewhere in "lookin.for update something" Can't go on. I put the Live KDE image on a USB stick and booted from it. It boots but when I attach the Huawei thingy the above messages is what I get. The worst is that I had Milestone 8 working nicely but I've somehow lost it's install image, I can't go back. Can the previous netinstall image still be obtained from somewhere? This morning I did a zypper dup and got a total of 5 packages changes, one of which was libcairo.so.2. After the update, neither Firefox not Thunderbird would restart. Why when I try to do a fresh install from Factory HTTP to a pre-partitioned system using pre-configured LVM for / and Fedora and /home does the installer think it needs to "create volume group", and abort because it cannot? Could it have anything to do with no bootloader configuration? I have Grub installed on the first partition, but do not intend for it to be mounted as /boot. Hi , Is the openSUSE 11.2 RC1 Gnome Live-Cd 64-bit Broken ? I am not able to add it as an installation source. And if I copy the image to a USB stick (via dd) and try to boot with it. After that, the dekstop was clearly seen and much more faster than previous (radeonhd driver) one on openSUSE 11.1. Kudos to all contributors! :) Hopefully it will be fixed on next release[1]. The problem is i can not see the bootsplash screen only when i reinstall the kernel package, even i set the right kernel parameters (splash=silent showopts vga=0×317) like on openSUSE 11.1. Is there any easier way to solve this? The kernel package is a huge file that will suffer for the low (unreliable) bandwidth user like me, even (IMHO) reinstalling the package is the easiest way to do it. After that, the dekstop was clearly seen and much more faster than previous (radeonhd driver) one on openSUSE 11.1. Kudos to all contributors! :) Hopefully it will be fixed on next release[1]. The problem is i can not see the bootsplash screen only when i reinstall the kernel package, even i set the right kernel parameters (splash=silent showopts vga=0×317) like on openSUSE 11.1. Is there any easier way to solve this? The kernel package is a huge file that will suffer for the low (unreliable) bandwidth user like me, even (IMHO) reinstalling the package is the easiest way to do it. Hi, I just went into Yast Software installation. fetchmsttfonts was autoselected so I installed it. During the installation process for every font (many times) there was written fetched ok extraction failed. I was looking for the logfile. In which logfile is the whole log? Hi, during work on fix for apache2-mod_jk I found that even if the Apache:Modules/apache2-mod_jk is marked as devel project, it contains completely different package with newest version and a different history, which makes it as devel project unusable. As I haven't been able to get M7 and M8 to install at all, I went back to the M6 NET iso and tried to install factory. In the Partitioner, when trying to set up an exisintg partition for swap, I am told "The partition XXXX is in use. It cannot be edited ...".
