[opensuse-factory] Factory NFSv4 kernel-server exports to "IP Network" ok, but exports 'empty'(no files or dirs) if just to "Single Host" ?

Hello, I've installed NFSv4 kernel server on Factory RC1. rpm -qa | grep -i nfs-kernel-server nfs-kernel-server-1.1.3-20.1.x86_64 uname -ri 2.6.31.3-1-default x86_64 I've configured "/etc/exports" as /nfs 192.168.1.0/24(ro,sync,fsid=0,no_subtree_check) /nfs/myexport 192.168.1.0/24(ro,nohide,no_root_squash,sync,subtree_check) After restarting everything, I can mount "/nfs/myexport" correctly. ifconfig eth0 | grep addr: inet addr:192.168.1.2 ... mount -t nfs4 192.168.1.2:/myexport /mnt/test ls -al /mnt/test drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody nobody 4096 2009-08-12 20:08 ./ drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 2009-10-20 19:55 ../ -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 1183 2009-08-12 20:08 blah1 -rw------- 1 nobody nobody 125811 2009-08-12 20:08 blah2 -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 2248 2009-08-12 20:08 blah3 -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 2010 2009-08-12 20:08 blah4 But, if I change "/etc/exports" to limit access to a SingleHost -- the box I'm on, - /nfs/myexport 192.168.1.0/24(ro,nohide,no_root_squash,sync,subtree_check) + /nfs/myexport 192.168.1.2(ro,nohide,no_root_squash,sync,subtree_check) then I can still execute the mount mount -t nfs4 192.168.1.2:/myexport /mnt/test ls -al /mnt/test drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody nobody 4096 2009-08-12 20:08 ./ drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 2009-10-20 19:55 ../ but see NO files or directories in it. Why does "IP Network" access work, but not "Single Host"? The exports man page explains that both are OK "Machine Name Formats". Thanks. [opensuse-factory] Version of hostapd in 11.2

This morning I installed the hostapd package in 11.2 RC1 and was quite surprised to see that the version was 0.5.10, even though 0.6.9 is the current stable version. The difference is significant in that 0.6.X is required to use the nl80211 driver in hostapd. With that change, nearly all the wireless devices based on mac80211 can be used as an AP. Am I correct in assuming that the feature freeze will prevent a change from 0.5.10 to 0.6.9 before the GM is issued? If so, please upgrade for 11.3. Hello, is this a known Problem ? when I start 11.2 _ 8 (ext4 formated), this errors I see on console 1 (root) after same seconds ? /home /"xxx"/.fonts/.: /home /"xxx"/.fonts/..: /home/"xxx"/: /var/run/uscreens: /var/run/screens: /var/run/SuSEfirewall2: //: all with this error: Not a regular file and this files /var/tmp/kdecache-"xxx"/kpc/kde-icon-cache.data /var/tmp/kdecache-"xxx"/kpc/kde-icon-cache.index /var/tmp/kdecache-"xxx"/kpc/plasma_theme_openSUSEdefault.data /var/tmp/kdecache-"xxx"/kpc/plasma_theme_openSUSEdefault.index all with error: has tail _and_ normal blocks I found nothing in Bugzilla or in the Lists ? -- mit freundlichen Grüßen / best Regards, Günther J. RC1 has some problem. This is right after a boot up of RC1 and shows up just as you are Logging in. [opensuse-factory] Missing susped/hibernate options in gnome-power-manager 2.28.0

Hi all. I'm running on RC1 and i've noticed that i can't suspend/hibernate directly via gnome-power-manager 2.28.0 icon in systray. When i left click on the gnome-power-manager icon, susped/hibernate options are missing. Hello, xfce in rc1 is still in a sorry state. Could somebody check the /var/log/xdm.error I attached to https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=530226 ? It shows: *** glibc detected *** xfwm4: free(): invalid pointer: 0x080de928 *** and a long backtrace, but I can't read it, as I'm not a programmer... Hello, Recent discussions on this list makes me think there should be some change (minor) in the way the community repositories are shown to the users. IMHO, packman should have a special status, just after the official repos and far before any OBS repo. packman is an incredible addition to openSUSE, I can say that openSUSE could not live in a personal computer system without packman (and you know why) But no newcommer can know that, so the community list should be shown like this: Official repos: OSS non-OSS UPDATE (...) Major repo: Packman *Under this, use at your own risks* OBS repos (unstable, but openSUSE friendly): (...) Guys, One thing that has always been a pain with samba is that suse splits the init scripts for nmbd and smbd into separate scripts. Now this isn't a show-stopper by any stretch, but is there any chance we could get an rcsamba in 11.2 that would work on both?
