Yes, I've been seeing this for a few weeks, too. As with you the Novell Innerweb toolbar works, but other applications there such as recordings of presentations or even YouTube cannot be controlled -- as with you it appears that clicks don't make it through. (Interestingly at the same time last.fm is controllable just fine.)

Same with M7 and M8 for me. After playing around for quite a while today, here is what I found as an alternative: 1. Download the alpha version of the 64-bit flash player from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html 2. Untar the archive and cp -p libflashplayer.so /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/ 3. Remove /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so 4. Also remove /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so* if you have any (that made a difference in my case). The disadvantage of this is that it has a tendency to crash Firefox (segmentation fault), dependent on the page containing flash. Pick your poison. Yes, I actually went back to the alpha version I downloaded in april, that served me much better. It's only drawback is that it doesn't render the bundesliga live ticker correctly :) Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

You may want to revisit http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html There was a refresh of the 64bit alpha plugin that was released on July 30. Refilwe -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Refilwe: what's your experience with 64bit flash plugin ? Absolutely, this latest refresh has ended my wrapping of the 32bit plugin. One of the first things I do on a new install of oS is to lock the "flash- player" package to "Taboo -- Never Install". This then effectively stops libflashplugin and all the rest from getting drawn in and interfering with the 64bit plugin. In my experience it also plays well with Opera and Arora in addition to Firefox. Only yesterday did I start toying about with Rekonq 0.2 so I cannot comment on that combination at this time. I also have not used Konqueror/KHTML for a while, and so cannot comment on that right now either. The only caveat I have is that I am not a big Flash user. My typical usage would include Dailymotion/YouTube type sites, International Herald Tribute/NYT video, and whatever ads that utilise Flash. I've occasionally looked at webpages that have won some admiration for their innovative use of Flash, but these are sometimes more about visual impact than any use of advanced features in Flash 10. A good Flash showcase site is: http://www.thefwa.com/ For me if the browser/plugin combo can run the following three sites without trouble and in the presence of other tabs...then I consider it usable for my browsing patterns: www.youtube.com (SD/HQ/HD) www.silenzo.fr (without hiccups) www.fortminor.com (full functionality - music plus navigation) I don't play Flash-based games but can certainly look into whether they work well. I tried the 64-bit alpha version and it crashes firefox immediately upon loading Pandora, so it's useless for me. The good news is that after I tried that I dug a little deeper into the regular package. It turns out that libflashsupport was causing the problem. Sound works as expected and it doesn't seem to steal sound as I can play two things at once. I seem to recall reading somewhere else that libflashsupport was already scheduled for removal. Unfortunately, my success was fleeting. Clicks aren't getting processed again and libflashsupport is not installed. -Jeff -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
