It would be good if we would start with collection release notes
snippets for 11.2 now. Do not hesitate to provide input!

I have an application that ceases to work after Milestone 7 update.
python-wxGTK-2.8.10.1-2.1.x86_64 installed. The following modules don't
exist. Are there alternatives or is there another package needed - I
haven't seen one that seems likely to supply them.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "quisk.py", line 14, in <module>
import wx, wx.html, wx.lib.buttons, wx.lib.stattext, wx.lib.colourdb
ImportError: No module named wx

Hi .
Well just done a zypper up on my laptop running MS7 . it claims to have
updated the kernel to 2.6.31-10.1 from 2.6.31-9 But i did not have -9 on
the machine it was -8 on it .
Toward the end of the zypper session it threw up a large amount of reports
attempting to carry out actions on deleted files then asked for the process
to be re started i just got the report nothing to do .
This appears to not check what it is doing before it attempts to carry an
action as exampled by the Kernel versions and the now failed sym links still
booting 2.6.31-8 but installed 2.6.31-10.1 i have saved the zypper.log and
/var/log/zypp/history if they are of use .
Pete.
Hello,
Does anyone know where I can see the list of display monitors yast picks up
and detects. I want to have a look at the ones supported, because a
existing monitor is starting to fail and Ill have to replace it.
Thanks Glenn

/dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: lancelot 6816 F...m pulseaudio
"rcalsasound restart", quite skype and restart it and I have audio again.
# fuser -v /dev/snd/*
USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/snd/controlC0: lancelot 14895 F.... pulseaudio
lancelot 17468 F.... kmix
/dev/snd/controlC1: lancelot 14895 F.... pulseaudio
lancelot 17468 F.... kmix
/dev/snd/controlC2: lancelot 14895 F.... pulseaudio
lancelot 17468 F.... kmix
/dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: lancelot 14895 F...m pulseaudio
Everything looks the same. Perhaps I need to file a bug for this
longstanding problem.
Regards
Sid.

Hi,
Milestone8 is not ready, there are some nasty issues. Most prominently the new
kernel throwing OOPSes without acpi=off and KDE updates still don't work, so I
won't release M8 in this state. How much delay this means I can't tell atm,
but thursday is still possible.
Greetings, Stephan

I've had 11.2 MS6 installed for several days now and have the
.../factory/repo/oss and ..../non-oss, as well as the other Community
repos, installed.
Yet over this period there have been no updates to any installed files.
I only use YaST (and Online Update applet) to check for new updates.
Is it a natural thing that there have not been any updates or is it
because I am using the 'normal' built-in YaST update facility and should
be using something else?

Devs,
For 11.2 is the use of /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist deprecated in openSuSE? I
ask because it has been in a couple of other distros with the 2.6.31-x kernel.

Hi,
The -10 kernel synced out _and_ leaves menu.lst working :)

Why is it that these programs are even on the CD/DVDs. They are broken
for a reason
However, Firefox, k3b and others call them up only to fail due to codec
problems
