[opensuse] general thoughts on 13.1?

I have seen a lot of things on opensuse 13.1. The promotions are saying that it is one of the best releases. But I also read things here and on the forums, like that there isa serious problem with getting multimedia platforms to workthe way they should, and that kmail has had some big issues. It seems that some people have these problems and others don't. I tried to upgrade on my office pc yesterday, and ran into the problem with the raid drives. I don't head back there until next week, so I will continue to troubleshoot it then. I am hoping to try upgrading on my home pc which also uses raid this weekend. But I am curious to know from those of you who have done the upgrade - are you overall pleased with 13.1? I liked 12.3, but I also like to try and keep things up to date by regularly updating when a new version is out. [opensuse] OpenSuSE and controller B110i sata raid controller

Hello all, I have to substitute an old system, with a newer one. Now my problem is: many HP Server have as default the controller SATA B110i sata raid. My question is: it can work with OpenSuSE ? And, can be used as raid controller, or only with a single drive configuration? [opensuse] Symbolic link

When I trie to make a symbolic link I get the message: The symbolic link /var/run/media/FREECOM HD/........./Bad.jpg could not be made, check permissions. In the documentation I just learned: On Linux, the permissions of a symbolic link are not used in any operations; the permissions are always 0777 (read, write, and execute for all user categories), and can't be changed. [opensuse] Thunderbird : mail to list without html

Hi, A while ago our company made a rule forcing users to send html-messages to correspondents. Now when I try to send a mail to a list, Thunderbird seems not to understand the setting in the address book. E.g. I indicated in my addressbook to sent ascii-messages to a test-user. When I click on "compose message" I get a screen with html-possibilities. When I enter a message and send it, the receiver gets a html-message. It does not help to send a message via the address-book, same problem. So what's the point of the configuration in the addressbook when Thunderbird does not use it. Or am I missing something ? Or is it the fact that I have a html-footer included that confuses Thunderbird ? I'm running OS12.2, Thunderbird 24.2.0. Hello all, I have noticied a strange error after successifully upgrade an OpenSuSE 12.2 to 13.1 (not officially supported, i know). What can be the reason, and most important, can have some consequences in the normal work of the system ? [opensuse] systemd : how to start a script at the end ?

Hello, I edited systemd on 12.3 to start a calendar server ( http://radicale.org/ ). The script works very well (good news !) IF I wait 10 seconds ("sleep 10") in it. If I do not wait, I have a "socket error". How do I run a script after the other ones ? that is, at end. I tried "After=network.target" with no luck.
