[opensuse] 1/2 of libqt4-x11 packages failing to install in 11.0 update from kde4 factory

Guys I have had a string of libqt4-x11 "package is broken, fails integrity check" failures tonight updating various 11.0 boxes. Out of 60 updates, 30 or so fail with the integrity check fail error. [opensuse] Network Manager and WPA/PSK with TKIP

Listmates, Tonight I was just reminded why I've been avoiding Network Manager like the plague. Is anyone successfully using Network Manager/KDE4 with a WLAN connection using WPA2-PSK/TKIP? My laptops (work and home) have been using ifup to manage the network connections and connecting to my home wireless network absolutely fine for ages. Tonight I decided to give Network Manager another go on the work laptop because I often have to plug into different networks at work for equipment maintenance purposes and need an easy way of switching between different networks/subnets on the wired ethernet port (which I may have to do several times in a day). We don't use DHCP on any of our networks for security reasons (our network administrator comes from a banking background and has very set ideas on network security which no-one is going to change). Trouble is, as soon as I enable Network Manager I can't connect to my home network which uses WPA2-PSK/TKIP with a 64 character hexadecimal shared key. Network Manager only gives me the following security options: None, LEAP, Dynamic WEP, WEP, WPA/WPA2 Personal (expects a password), WPA/WPA2 Enterprise (expects signed certificates, private key/password etc.). Why can it not use WPA-PSK2 like the ifup method (as configured in Yast2 Network Setup)? Is there something I'm missing here? [opensuse] All plugins compiz missing for X11/XGL x86_64, only extra for i586

Guys, Thanks for the compiz updates in the X11/XGL repo. However, there is a rather big problem. There are no plugins for X86_64 and only the compiz-extra plugins. Dominique, if you're on top of this, then that's fine. But, if they are supposed to be there and are not, then immediate help is needed. Last few updates for 11.0 -- it would be ugly to have them break compiz :( I know there are issues with the plugins for 8.6 and 11.0, that's why currently there are only main, extra and photowheel in the X11/compiz directory. For the X11/XGL repo, without the main plugins -- nothing is going to work. Devs, please have a look. cc: Dominique Dominique - if this is just a normal shuffling of the rpms going from 8.2 to 8.6, then I'm sorry for bothering you. [opensuse] mp3 file compare

Hello: I would like to compare different mp3 files if they audio parts are the same or not. Is there any program that can do it, ie comparing only the audio parts of the mp3s, excluding metadata (eg. [opensuse] Yakuake configuration, how to ..

Using Yakuake konsole since 11.2 and like it. Have upgrade to 11.3 RC2 and found a difference. In 11.2 Yakuake came on the desktop with F12 and removed itself from the desktop as soon as some other program was started and touched the konsole. In my new setup the Yakuake konsole remains on the desk and can only be removed of the desktop view with another F12. Looked in the help file and checked the configuration setup but did not find anything with which I could get back the earlier function. [opensuse] Procmail wants to rename maibox

I've had a move of a mail-hub zap my inbox by - without warning me - zapping /var/spool/mail Probably me being stupid and overlooking something. Again So it doesn't happen again I'd like to have mail delivered to ~anton/Mail/INBOX So I put a line in .procmailrc to that effect DEFAULT=/home/anton/Mail/INBOX Well just in case mail gets delivered that DOESN'T go though procmail (yes, I do have a .forward that reads: "|IFS=' '&&exec /usr/bin/procmail || exit 75 #anton" but I'm paranoid) I decided to symlink /var/spool/mail/anton to ~anton/ail/INBOX Well procmail doesn't like that. It says renaming bogus mailbox "/var/spool/mail/anton" \ info "/var/spool/mail/BOGUS.anton/YM" Well, WHY? Oh, and yes I know I can reset delivery with /etc/postfix/main.cf by using home_mailbox = Mail/INBOX but that does it for all users. So why won't procmail honour symlink? Security - obviously. But is there a way to make this do what I want? -- Time flies like the wind. It > always works for me. Yep, tried exactly that. It asks for a password, not a shared key. I copy and paste in the PSK shared key and it asks again. I do it again and it goes away silently without connecting. What type of key/passphrase are you using? [opensuse] I/O error when copying

Im trying to copy a file with cp on a XFS filesystem, but I get this all the time cp siri-1.vmdk siri-2.vmdk cp: reading `siri-1.vmdk': Input/output error Any ideas on how I can save the file? I have unmounted the volume and run xfs_repair, but it didn't help.
