[opensuse] Where does YaST remote desktop store its settings?

Hi all! I enabled remote administration in YaST; YaST -> Network Services -> Remote Adinistration It works as expectad, but the opened window is set to 1024x768. I have a dual monitor setup that does 1600x1024x2 and i would like the remote session to be at least 1280x1024, or better yet, full screen. [opensuse] No windows at or after login - Only text display after 10.3 clean install

After installing 10.3, a clean install, I have no windows display anymore. All I have is a text display. I try to run Sax2, including sax2 -r, sax2 -r -m 0=nv, and Yast2 to correct the problem but they all die before getting to any graphic display. I have tried installing both the 64bit and the 32bit version of 10.3 with no luck. I had a GUI when installing SuSE 10.3 but not after it finished. I am a bit of a noob to Linux, used it off and on for a while now. I tried what I found in other emails on this list and I still have only text after booting. My system is an Intel Core2 duo, Fatal1ty MB, with 2Gigs memory, Nvidia 8600GT 256Meg video. TIA - Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated. [opensuse] Mispelled version in French x86_64 OpenSUSE 10.3

Hi, Not a big deal, but during the installation of the x86_64 Opensuse 10.3 under vmware, choosing the french language at boot, I noticed an error on the opensuse version. The text in the pictures during installation, describing important or new features of this great OS referred to... opensuse 10.2 and not opensuse 10.3 !! It occured two or three times (wasn't watching it all thru the install process). Dunno, if it is the same in the english version or on the i386 version. Has someone noticed it yet ? That's it...not a big deal but... [opensuse] XP windows partition not showing up.

I have an HP laptop that is dual booted, XP and Linux. With 10.2 and now 10.3 I do not see the XP partition showing up so I can traverse the NTFS filesystem within Linux. [opensuse] opensuse 10.3 - smart package mgr.

opensuse 10.3 KDE thinkpad x40 Problem: clicking in smart does not start: "Please enter administrative (root) password to conitnue Command: --gui Password: XXXXXXX OK" "Command "--gui" not found" This is what I have done: 1. check the setup and everything is OK (the same as 10.2) Command: smart --gui Run as different user "root"checked: 2. open xterm and $ su smart-gui it works OK $ kdesu smart--gui It produces the same error. --gui unknown option. Quotes did not make any difference. 3. Under 10.2 smart works however if I do it under CLI the same happens. So it looks like if under 10.2 when you click in the icon it calls su and then passes the parameter. Under 10.3 seems it call kdesu and it produces the error. This may not be correct. Any clues? Hey, all -- Just updated a 10.1 machine to 10.3, which went smoothly. Now, though, I'm running into an issue. When I try to start a virtual machine with "xm create ...", the domU fails to start. Figuring that this was a problem with the config file format changing from Xen 3.0.3 to Xen 3.1.0, I went through YaST to create a new machine, only to discover issues there, as well.
