[opensuse] Enlightenment

Hi, I added some repos to YAST and saw E on there and since it's one of my favs I had it installed. Well, when I go to run it, it says to use "enlightenment_start" instead of just the enlightenment Binary. So I go into the directory and check and "enlightenment_start" is what is there next to execute and try to execute. So I change both to just say enlightenment thinking it was backwards and try again, no luck same error, but before they BOTH said "enlightenment_start" like it says it's supposed to, so I'm kind of confused as to why it says that when neither work and give the same error. Anyone else use E? Or have it working on OpenSUSE 10.2? I'd like to use it because I just prefer it over the others. I like KDE and generally use that, and sometimes I use Gnome, sometimes I use Window Maker, and Sometimes I use Twindy which I installed myself, and sometimes FVWM2 because I like it too. [opensuse] beagle does not index all files in /home/user

This is on openSUSE 10.3 with KDE 3.5.8 "release 21.2" and beagle-0.2.18-30 kio_beagle-0.3.1-117 beagle-lang-0.2.18-30 libbeagle-0.2.18-32.1 kdebase3-beagle-3.5.8-2.2 Beagle does not index all files in my home directory. While all e-mails are being indexed, all documents are not. This could be due to the home partition having been "cryptified" (?). However, the mail folder is located in that home directory and is being indexed, so the "cryptification" should not be a problem. Needless to say that I haven't defined the documents folder as being excluded from the indexing. And the beagle daemon is running. Thanks for your help! [opensuse] Problem updating xen domU's

Two years ago I installed several Xen domU's. The tools where not so sophisticated as they are now, so I had to do most of all this by my own. I decided to create LVM volumes which I directly gave as e.g. hda1 to the domU's. As one result within the domU there is no partition table visible. Installation took place via dirinstall in yast. Now I try to update this domU's to openSuSE 10.3 - has anyone here an idea how to _update_ a dirinstalled system? I tried yast dirinstall again - this seems to simply make a fresh install. That's not what I want. I tried to give the installation xen kernel/initrd and iso image to the domU to regularly start the installation process. This works a bit when I fake some partition tables (give a faked master boot record as hda and provide hda1/hda2 directly) but ends up yast telling me it can not find an installed system so it wants to make a fresh install too. I tried the old SuSE 10.1 yast to start a "system update" from the given 10.3 installation media - but it warns about incompatibilities and suggests a fresh install ... Any further idea? [opensuse] Irrelevant Update in openSUSE Updater

Hi, The openSUSE Updater on my 10.3 system is showing me a 64-bit update for openmotif22-libs (version 4540-0) listed as "optional" while all the others are appropriate and listed as either "recommended" or "security". (This is a 32-bit installation.) Obviously, this is only cosmetic, but I'd just as soon not have it linger there indefinitely. Can I get rid of it? Should I install it? Should I mark it "taboo?" [opensuse] configuring USB DVB-T tuner

Does anyone know how to configure the DVB-T tuner connected through the USB interface? [opensuse] [2nd try] 2 problems: firefox doesn't start; konqueror doesn't display pages automagically

Hi, Using openSUSE 10.3 32bit. I've got 2 problems: 1. Since this morning when I start firefox 2.0.0.8, it closes immediately and gives the following error: /usr/bin/firefox: line 208: 4355 Segmentation fault $MOZ_PROGRAM "$@" I uninstalled ATI fglrx rpm's, then firefox started normally. I closed firefox, and the 2nd time I started firefox I got again the above message. 2. konqueror 3.5.7. works, but every link I click, I get the message (e.g.): Open 'http://www.google....oogle+zoeken&meta='? Type: HTML Document ,with three options: Save as...; Open with 'firefox'; Cancel; Clicking every link with my scrollwheel opens a new konqueror window and displays the new page.
