smb mounts sees all files owned as 'root'

Hello, Is there a way to have smb mounts show who the actually file owners are instead of having all files appearing to be owned by user root? Many thanks in advance, James

Firefox and CUPS: a bad interaction

I'm running SuSE 10.0 and Firefox 1.5.0.2. If I attempt to print the displayed window using File / Print (and CUPS), the window prints correctly - but the window showing the progress hangs up (and hangs Firefox with it). Killing the window doesn't kill the process. I've looked for something about this problem on Google, in vain. I don't know if the remedy lies with Firefox, with CUPS, or with some combination of the two. Outside of Firefox, printing works as it should. Any ideas, anyone? Paul

We see often questions about the packages included on one or an other SUSE Linux Version. the smaller complete list is INDEX.gz. even unzipped, it's not that big, but it's long (3200 line approx). Mediawiki seems to accept it. Can you test this. Nor restarting the machine. For some reason, any query to a .local domain is attempting to hit server 224.0.0.251 via protocol 'MDNS', rather than those configured in /etc/resolv.conf. Why? Thanks. breaking 'include' files

Is there a tool which will allow me to dig through included, or header, files so that I can see their combined contents in the correct order rather than having to list each one individually? Output to screen or piped to a text file is adequate! Many Thanks John
