Suse8.2 and HP 4300c scanner

Dear All, I have Suse 8 and plan to install my new Suse 8.2 pro unless I find out that my usb Hp 4300c scanner will not work. I have it working with Suse 8, but know of one person who could not get there scanner to work in 8.2 even though it worked fine in 8. Does anyone have the HP usb 3400c or 4300c scanner working in Suse 8.2? Sincerely, Marcia

Suse 8.2 - Belkin KVM SOHO series 2

I have 1 windows xp pro workstation, and a newly fresh installed 8.2 server. I have a ps2 key board and a Microsoft intelemouse explorer (big gray and red mouse with thumb buttons and the top button, and a wheel.) When I switch from xp to Linux with the KVM my mouse behavior on the Linux box is completely wasted. Everything jumps around and the mouse goes nuts. Completely unusable. I have been doing some reading that says that I should make sure I don't have more then 1 mouse driver loaded. How can I check this In Suse? Has anyone else had similar problems. If so what did you do to rectify them. The mouse is the USB version going through the USB -> ps2 adapter that came with the mouse. Paul Kraus

I know it has something to do with the usb-storage module. Can someone tell me how to clone my kernel, and compile this module into it? PSC 750 setup as scanner

Hi. I'm running SuSE linux 8.2. I have great troubles getting the KsCD to work. I can start the audio cd, and can see the counter in the display. I can see the LED on the cd drive is blinking. The only thing that is not working is the sound out of the loudspeakers. XMMS works. WindowsXP works too. As such there's no problems with the hardware. Want to change .bash_history count

I've looked all over for this but can't find it. The .bash_history seems to default to 500, I'd like to jack this up to 2000 or 3000 - how do I do this? What are the ramifications of doing this?
