Hello, Have any a idea what is wrong with a Asus P9D WS. I have the Problem the Bootsetting can't be written. This is a Asus P9D WS Board with a LSI 7292 Controller and 16GB Ram My Installation: This is a dualboot installation On the LSI only one Drive is bootable Test 1: I set /boot/efi to the windows EFI Partition Test 2: I set /boot/efi to the windows partition and make a /boot Partition (XFS) on the first drive. Hi folks, for quite some time I have failed to contribute to openSUSE in the way I used to. This will probably not change in the near future. I want to drop the following responsibilities soon: most server:php:applications (phpunit, pear packages from php.net, some frameworks) at (the daemon, yes) Reasons: Most importantly: Lack of directions. PHP projects like phpunit are moving away from the PEAR package format which is the basis for most semi-automated RPM packaging processes. There is a lack of interest in the community to discuss any follow-up format (like wrapping composer-format libraries into RPM) and with all the modern deployment tools around, there is also shrinking interest in using rpm-packaged scripting libraries. This is also true for ruby, where the most popular deployments provide and manage local library bundles for each application/stack. It's essentially anti-distribution. I have no answer to that and I think it's best to stop here. Hi testers, (CC into -factory list to attract more views. Reply in -testing to get the answer) openQA is making a great job testing Factory and 13.2, but still the manual test is something that is unavoidable: provides excellent feedback and more hardware combinations that anything that KVM can do today : ) I created a Google spreadsheet to try to put some order in the test process before GM, in a similar way that we did for 13.1. Can you help here? The spreadsheet is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgNkaGiuxpjxdFdIaGx5Y0xxOVY0NH… And the rules are: 1.- Put you alias / name in the first row 2.- Download the last build [1] 3.- Pick some tests cases and test! 4.- Publish the result in the proper cell: 4.1.- Put the full name of the media (media, arch and build number) that you used to make the test 4.2.- Use green if the test is ok, or red if is not ok (yellow if you are not sure) 4.3.- If is not ok the test, please, create a bug report in BNC and put the number in the cell for reference A note about the second column: some tests are running properly in openQA (green 'yes'), but others are failing (red 'yes'). 'org.debian.pcsc-lite.access_pcsc': [ 'yes', 'yes', 'yes' ], ... 'org.debian.pcsc-lite.access_card': [ 'yes', 'yes', 'yes' ], ... After restarting the daemons rdesktop was able to redirect the card reader. My question: How is this supposed to work? What is the "official" way to configure this? Dear list mates, I downloaded x86_64 and i686 architectures for opeSUSE-13.2-GNOME-Live- Build0019 (Release Candidate 1). SHA256sum verfified on both. Maybe I missed some information these days or simply need some clarification. Each time I try to record these ISOs on DVD I got the error" Fatal Error during recording:Input/Output error" from K3b. Everything is up to date on two machines I tried. I forgot to mention x86_64 ISO was able to work from bootable USB stick for x86_64 hardware. GNOME-3.14 have received plenty improvements on the user interface (there are NO more oversized windows hard to navigate). However, it does not make sense to try it on i686 for x86 hardware because the BIOS limitations to boot from USB stick. If we can not burn an ISO for i686 on DVD it will be hard to install on these architecture because BIOS limitation to boot from USB. I did not find if Bug or temporary condition. Please clarify. [opensuse-factory] Do you really need a bios_grub partition for GPT?

Hi. When installing openSUSE 13.2 in VB I get the following warning: Warning: There is no partition of type bios_grub present. To boot from a GPT disk using grub2 such a partition is needed. Really use this setup? If I decide to continue, installation finishes fine and there's no problem to boot the system. I have customized a bit the partitioning by using GPT, ext4 and no separate /boot partition (hence the warning I suppose). Is it that VB is special in some way or the result is the same in real hardware?
