[opensuse-factory] RFC: Dropping xstroke from the default installation pattern

Hi! At present the application xstroke gets installed on a default installation of openSUSE 12.1 Beta, be it on a laptop or desktop. I suggest that this application be dropped from the default installation (except in the case of tablet-pc) as it does little to add any value to a default desktop/laptop system (and has a really blurred out ugly icon :) ). What do people think about this: is this application important enough to be kept in the default installation for laptops and desktops? [opensuse-factory] Postfix not running by default in Factory

I don't know if this is a bug of the new systemd or some sort of security "feature" :-) Can you tell me if it's supposed to be down? In that case how should one enable it? I need postfix to be able to send mails from bash scripts. [opensuse-factory] openSUSE:12.1 is split from factory

Hi, Before you find it during some surfing around on build.opensuse.org, I better tell you: we copied openSUSE:12.1 from factory now. This means we will build RC2 from there. This also means I will move my focus to that new project and leave factory for a while building as it is. Please submit your 12.1 fixes to openSUSE:Factory as usual, I will review them and forward to 12.1 as I see important bugs fixed. The rest can stay in Factory for 12.2. Reminder: checkin deadline for RC2 is october 28th. Afterwards is a long weekend for many in Bavaria. [opensuse-factory] Acer 5520 laptop & Synaptiks - openSUSE 12.1

Installed 12.1b1 from x86_64 live cd and synaptiks was not included. One solution was to implement another hinting algorithm to suppress the deformation. I don't remember how it went on, though. [opensuse-factory] booting with root on NFS ?

I'm trying to boot Factory over PXE+NFS, but I'm getting stuck with: "/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/ifup-sysctl" not found. In such a case, we need to fix it or give a workaround for this font, i.e. font-specific config. And, this is not what works for one person but not for others. Which limitation rule to be applied is still a question, but in general, changing the hint for specific matching rules is rather a safer way to go. [opensuse-factory] Strange updates in latest factory repository

I am updating openSUSE 12.1 B1 using the current factory repository. I noticed some strange packages being included or updated. bundle-lang-common-de-12.1-40.4 bundle-lang-gnome-ar-12.1-40.6 I do not have German and/or Arabic enabled.
