[opensuse-factory] booting with root on NFS ?
I'm trying to boot Factory over PXE+NFS, but I'm getting stuck with: "/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/ifup-sysctl" not found. As far as I can see, this is used ./lib/udev/rules.d/77-network.rules, but it's not present in the initrd. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (8.7°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

In a previous (working) setup, I notice that 77-network.rules was kept in /etc/udev/rules.d, but that doesn't make much a difference, does it? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (9.2°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Sorry about the noise, this seems to be about the root filesystem not getting mounted before udevd is started. Is there any reason why this might have changed since 11.4? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (8.9°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

related to https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=724775 probably.

The description fits very well, but my problem is still slightly different. When the system tries to start dhcpcd, it doesn't seem to know which interface to use. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (8.2°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

When the process is running boot/12-network.ch, I see the following: running dhcpcd on interface err, no interface specified The current boot/12-network.ch is appears to have been mostly rewritten (when compared to 11.4), but there is no changelog. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (8.6°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
