[opensuse-factory] Acer 5520 laptop & WiFi & KnetworkManager - openSUSE 12.1

KNetworkManager does not offer wireless config for my atheros AR5001 adapter, "AR5BXB63" nic, using module ath5k. [opensuse-factory] E520 Realtek WiFi doesn't connect with traditional config either - openSUSE 12.1 beta

I have tried enabling the WiFi on the E520 using the traditional ifup method. While I can create the configuration, it doesn't get an IP address. When I try to start the interface manually it shows in ifconfig, without an IP address and I get this error: linux:/etc/sysconfig/network # ifup wlan0 wlan0 device: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. [opensuse-factory] ThinkPad E520 WiFi & Knetwork manager - openSUSE 12.1

I have the Live CD version of the latest pre-release version of openSUSE 12.1. Everything seems to work, except I can't get KNetworkManager to work with the WiFi (Realtek rtl8192ce module). I can get it to create a wlan0, if I use the traditional "ifup" method. However, when I try to use KNetworkMangager, I can't even enable WiFi. When I click on "Enable", it quickly disables it again. Suggestions? [opensuse-factory] Zypper uses IPv6 address when no IPv6 available

Hi! My provider does not provide IPv6 Internet access. But zypper stubbornly tries to connect the update server by IPv6 address: Сообщение об ошибке: Failed to connect to 2001:67c:2178:8::13: Сеть недоступна This does not depend on whether IPv6 is enabled in Yast. Zypper does not make any attempts to connect the server via IPv4 so a connot do any updates to the system whatsoever. This issue first time was observed this Summer during IPv6 testing day. It has been reported by me and other users here: http://forums.opensuse.org/forums/english/get-technical-help-here/network-i… But finally dismissed as a problem of my provider dispite the fact it was reported by multiple users. Nothing to say, the provider dismissed the issue as well. I also created a bugreport but currectly bugzilla shows me the following infinitely: http://storage9.static.itmages.ru/i/11/1017/h_1318870424_4471791_b102ad47e6… This is possibly to the same issue. [opensuse-factory] Tumbleweed build problems for filesystem.rpm
