[opensuse-factory] Acer 5520 laptop & WiFi & KnetworkManager - openSUSE 12.1
KNetworkManager does not offer wireless config for my atheros AR5001 adapter, "AR5BXB63" nic, using module ath5k. I don't find a bugreport which seems to reflect this condition. screen capture: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/KNetworkManager.png -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Are you sure you are using knetworkmanager? It has been deprecated for a while now and shouldn't even work on factory. Currently plasmoid-networkmanager is the default. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

To me this happens when pnm/nm is not able to change the hardware radio kill switch. You can check that with dmesg. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
