[opensuse-factory] Accessible installation of Opensuse 11.1

Hi all, I hope that this is the right list to ask this kind of question. I have just downloaded the DVD of Opensuse 11.1 Beta5 and booted it. After the DVD has booted I pressed F9 to launch the talking menu. I then selected installation and pressed enter. The DVD seem to boot something but I get no speech. Is this something that is going to be fixed or is it already fixed and its my sound card thats not working proprely. Any info would be apreciated, many thanks! Hi. I´ve just read on the beineri's blog, that the KDE Updater Applet will switch from the zypp backend to its PackageKit backend by default for openSUSE 11.1. Could you explain me, why? Thanks. [opensuse-factory] forward and back buttons not working on mouse

On OpenSUSE 11.x (and lower) the forward and back button are not working also the left and right scroll. (KDE3 and 4 tested) On firebox the forward and back buttons are working just fine. Is there a EASY way to add this support? or better build in this support out of the box, on Ubuntu and Vista the buttons are working out of the box. [opensuse-factory] Packman repos for Opensuse 11.1 do'nt work

I added the Packman repos for Opensuse 11.1 beta 5, but do'nt appear any package from this repo in the Yast software install module. The repo that I used is: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/11.1/ Because the packages from Packman do'nt appear in the install software window, I download and installed by the command rpm -i --force --nodeps, meaning that lather the Yast software install module will resolve the dependecies problems, but it do'nt detect any problem. The "1 click install" of the Packman site http://packman.links2linux.de, do'nt works, becuase the ymp extension was not associated with any application, and I do'nt find the executable of the Yast software install module. [opensuse-factory] GUI login as root, how to enable it

Hi, It's probably not good with safty and all that, but I like in certan cases to use root on a GUI. I have tried Googling on how to reenable the possibility , but come up short. If someone has it fresh in mind , I would realy appreciate a small howto reenable that .....
