[opensuse-marketing] Feedback on openSUSE 12.1 promo DVD cover

Hi All, A bit of feedback from my wife upon her seeing the openSUSE 12.1 promo DVDs. While definitely nicely done, the front says only "FREE Software / openSUSE 12.1", but provides no other indication of exactly what openSUSE is. Perhaps for 12.2 we could move one of the descriptive paragraphs from the back of the cover to the front. Possibly this one: This DVD includes everything you need to get your desktop, laptop or server up and runing with Linux. You can also take 12.1 for a test drive before you install it. Just boot your computer from this DVD. The idea being to add a little descriptive text to the front, just enough to provide a bit more information/enticement to turn the package over and read more :) but not so much that it's overwhelming. [opensuse-marketing] openSUSE Promo DVD has arrived at Praia Grande, Brazil

Ola geekos, I already received the Promo DVDs over here, in Praia Grande, Brazil. Thanks to AJ, Andrea and others involved to make this happen, I really appreciate. [opensuse-marketing] GSOC poster for conferences etc

Heya all, You might have read that GSOC 2012 is going to happen again: http://news.opensuse.org/2012/02/29/opensuse-gsoc-2012/ We need to tell students that they need to be HERE, with US! So we need a nice GSOC poster. Now google has made artwork for GSOC 2012: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0Z4BTG1iJDs/TyG9uyApFrI/AAAAAAAAAhY/raFJlaZqdes/s… I slapped a geeko on it but that's of course not good enough :D So, who can design some poster which can be used at conferences and universities to get students into GSOC 2012? I was thinking about taking google's image on the bottom of a poster, adding the blue on top and having some text there, see my crazy drawing here: http://susepaste.org/13964893 Something like that...
