Bye, CzP [[..headers removed, so the list hopefully does not reject it...]] Hello, I'm Peter Czanik from Budapest, Hungary. After long discussions with fellow openSUSE users and current ambassador Kalman Kemenczy (on CC), I plan to become openSUSE ambassador in Hungary. You can read more about me athttps://connect.opensuse.org/pg/profile/czanik As far as I know, Kalman already ordered some openSUSE 12.2 DVDs. I could not reach him for more than a week, so I'd like to ask you if you know the status of this order. There will be a local conference on the 8th of December, where I could distribute some DVDs while making some publicity for openSUSE. The event will be organized by Free Software Foundation, Hungary. i Team, I've received an email from the crew at FOSDEM to remind us that the Call for Stands for FOSDEM 2013 is open and we have 2 weeks to submit our request for a booth. Am I right in assuming that we of course want openSUSE to be there with a booth? Has any of us already submitted? The announcement follows a template that we have to make it simple for the ones involved on the Elections Committee, the idea is the assure the minimum information and save the volunteer time. I will add to the template your request to not happen again :) Meanwhile... quoting: Seats to get elected There will be 2 seats to be elected, each for a 2 year term. Henne Vogelsang's seat is coming to expiration, and in addition he is completing his two-term limit. That means he is not eligible for re-election this time. Manu was appointed this year after Peter Linnell stepped down. Peter was elected in January of 2011. Thus, Manu's seat is up for election, but he is eligible to get elected. Company affiliation In the event that individuals affiliated with a company or organization hold more than 40 per cent of the electable seats, affiliates from that corporation will be required to resign until fewer than 40 per cent of electable seats are controlled by that company or organisation. Individuals affiliated with a company or organization are people who are employees, officers, or members of the board of directors of an organization; or have a significant consulting relationship; or own at least 1 per cent of the equity or debt, or derivatives thereof, of a company. Resignation Any person who has resigned from the Board or has been removed from the Board is not eligible for nomination or appointment for or during the next Board election period.
