Hallo, wir möchten kurz darauf aufmerksam machen, dass unser Call for Lectures veröffentlicht wurde. Wir sind gespannt auf eure Beiträge! -------------------------------------------------------- Gesucht: "Kernige" Beiträge für Chemnitzer Linux-Tage 2012 Referenten und "Open Source"-Projekte können sich für Vorträge bis zum 5. Januar bewerben Das nicht-kommerzielle Betriebssystem Linux feiert in diesem Jahr seinen 20. Geburtstag. Anfangs wurde es von vielen Skeptikern belächelt, heute ist es fester Bestandteil des digitalen Alltags. Es gibt kaum eine Aufgabe, der Linux nicht gewachsen ist - ob im Handy oder auf dem Server im Unternehmen nebenan. Technische Neuentwicklungen, aber auch die Schnelligkeit, mit der diese auf den Markt drängen, stellen jedoch Software-Entwickler immer wieder vor neue Herausforderungen. Die ständig steigende Vielfalt des offenen Betriebssystems und das permanente Wachsen der Open-Source-Community verlangen zunehmend nach Synergieeffekten. Das meinen auch die Veranstalter der Chemnitzer Linux-Tage und stellen ihre nächste Veranstaltung vom 17. bis zum 18. März 2012 unter das Thema "Kernelkraft und erneuerbare Synergien". Mit dem "Call for Lectures" startet nun von der Technischen Universität Chemnitz aus die Suche nach passenden Vorträgen, Workshops und Projekten. Inhaltlich soll es nicht nur um eines der Herzstücke der Open-Source-Softwareentwicklung - den "Linux Kernel" - gehen. Der Leitgedanke der Linux Tage 2012 richtet sich vor allem an Referenten, die sowohl einen kurzen Blick in die Vergangenheit werfen, als auch über ihre Visionen für zukünftige freie Betriebssysteme philosophieren möchten. Die Errungenschaften der Open-Source-Softwareentwicklung sollen hier ebenso Beachtung finden wie Kritikpunkte. Es wird Raum für Diskussionen und Informationen über die Ursprünge und weitreichenden gesellschaftlichen Auswirkungen von Linux geben. Auch Synergieeffekte bei der freien Softwareentwicklung sollen eine große Rolle spielen. Das Team der Chemnitzer Linux-Tage möchte den Nutzern und Entwicklern unterschiedlicher Open-Source-Software eine Plattform bieten, auf der sie sich über die Zusammenarbeit austauschen und neue Akzente im Hinblick auf die Arbeitsorganisation setzen können. Hierbei soll auch der technische Aspekt nicht verloren gehen. Gerade der alltägliche Umgang mit mobilen Geräten und deren ständige Weiterentwicklung führen zu immer neuen Software-Anforderungen. Bei diesem Prozess werden unter Umständen auch längst verworfene Ideen und Gedanken wieder aufgegriffen, erneuert und umgesetzt. Die plattformübergreifende Programmierung gewinnt in diesem Zusammenhang an Bedeutung und kann ebenfalls in Vorträgen und Workshops thematisch aufgegriffen werden. Die Veranstalter warten nun gespannt auf zahlreiche "kernige" Beiträge, die bis zum 5. Januar 2012 über http://chemnitzer.linux-tage.de eingereicht werden können. Bagaimana dana tsb bertubi2 masuk ke rekening kita? Lihat SCAN BUKU TABUNGAN Rina terlampir. Lumayan banget utk ukuran rina. Uang segitu mungkin udah cukup utk beli rumah and mobil. Rina yakin kita semua bisa kok mendapatkan income seperti yg Rina dapatkan di atas. Begitu saya cek, di kolom kredit isinya 50 ribu dan 10 ribu banyak sekali dan di kolom saldo tercetak angka 160 juta lebih dan jika ditambah dengan buku ke 2 totalnya ada 250 juta sekian. Sontak saya kaget, ini duit begitu banyak dari mana? Setelah berpikir keras dan melihat angka 50 ribu dan 10 ribu baru saya teringat program 5 milyar yg saya pernah gabung dulu karena waktu gabung saya juga mentransfer 50 ribu dan 10 ribu ke beberapa orang. Aduh maaak, terima kasih Tuhan, terima kasih webmaster. Saya bisa kuliahkan anak dan membantu biaya berobat ibu saya yg sakit dengan dana ini. Setelah itu saya betul2 percaya bahwa program bisnis ini bener2 bekerja. Sejak itu saya mulai aktif mempromosikan program ini ke siapa saja, lewat email, milis, sms, dll. My plan was to start blogging all my experiences with 12.1 since I hadn't totally settled in until 11.4. I wanted to use blogilo for this, but it keeps giving me trouble. If somebody could help, it would be appreciated. Heya all, I did a google search for our facebook pages. Google said that these are the ones we currently have: https://www.facebook.com/pages/openSUSE/45393742283; product/service with 2600 likes http://www.facebook.com/pages/openSUSE/107715102589260; Interest with 5200 likes http://www.facebook.com/OpenSUSECentral; community page with 5280 likes http://www.facebook.com/groups/opensuseproject/; group page with 5900 members I do not know who owns the first one, but I think it should go. I see Bryen making frequent posts, maybe he can make that happen? We should then try and let people know that the other pages are the ones they should go to. In that regard, the second one, despite the 5200 likes, should imho go too. Again I do not know who 'owns' it but I see Stuart making frequent posts, could you do this, Stuart? Then we need to get you and byren added to the ones left: the community page and the facebook group. These two are the most active so I think it makes most sense to focus on them. And obviously I'd rather see the OpenSUSECentral stay as it has a much prettier URL. I will try to get OpenSUSECentral renamed to openSUSE. There is an individual with that name, let's see if we can get it. If not, let's at least try to rename OpenSUSECentral to openSUSECentral. Gertjan is one of the masters of the OpenSUSECentral page. Gertjan, could you give me and SatManUK (stuart tanner, http://www.facebook.com/georgianpropertiesuk) access too? Stuart offered to be our social media master for the openSUSE 12.1 release so he has things to post to the page and I just like to be in control :D Comments, suggestions? Please, if you know who can change anything on the first two pages, let me know! If we can't remove them we can at least put a notice and a link there to our 'big' pages... Cheers, Jos

Folks, With 12.1 just days away, please visit en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Social_media_launch_plan and help out wherever you can. We need volunteers to handle the various social networks and to add any relevant stuff to the launch plan. Carlos, you volunteered to create a new 3D Geeko for 12.1 that we can use on our social media pages. Can you let us know the status of this? Kostas, you said you'd contact the Ambassador team to find people who are handling social media in other languages and ask them to join us. Can you send an email this weekend? On Monday afternoon, I will send out an email to the Project and ask the community to join in the reptition efforts so we can get some good high visibility in the various networks. Beginning this Sunday, I will begin days-long efforts to fully monitor and push content out on the sites I have volunteered to work with. Let's touch bases on Monday/Tuesday to see how we are all doing. Again, volunteering is highly encouraged and fun! :-) Please let me know if you have any questions. [opensuse-marketing] Translation of openSUSE posters

Heya all, I've just finished updating the posters we made last year at SCALE in the USA. They are ready for translation and I can then print a bunch in time for the openSUSE 12.1 release parties! Who's up for translating them? download the svg files at the link below, translate them (open in Inkscape, edit the text) and mail them back to me... I will try to get at least Spanish (in the USA and Brazil and Spain), Portugese (Brazil), Chinese (Taiwan/China) and a few European languages (German, French, more?) printed. Heya all, I forgot to git add the translations of the posters, I am uploading them now. Will take a few hours on my slow connection, sorry! I would still appreciate it if someone with a fast computer and a fast connection could create PDF and PNG files for the many svg based posters. That makes it much easier for people to download and print! I am currently trying to find out what to print and how many. You can surely count on the Chinese and Portugese one to be printed, not sure about the rest yet :D Cheers, Jos

Hey all, Today is your last chance to get changes in openSUSE mentioned in the Product Highlights and the release announcement. Tonight I will begin to move them to the wiki and write the first draft of the release announcement. Tomorrow the announcement as well as the Highlights will be send to the press so they can prepare for their articles. Any major changes not mentioned in our documentation by that time will thus not be featured in their work. So, if one or more of the updates you've done is really significant - make sure it is mentioned in the Product Highlights. If it represents a major deal, mention that and explain what's cool, it might make it into the announcement itself :D The page below is like a wiki, except that you don't need to know wiki syntax or anything else, just go in and edit. It has a history slider and we will review the text so don't be afraid of making mistakes. http://ietherpad.com/12-1-release-notes Usually, a name + version number and a link to where I can find an overview of what's new & cool is enough (we'll write the text) but of course you can help us a lot by writing a short summary yourself. Howdy, Here´s a recent Google blog post, which refers to the world wide launch of Google Pages. As seen that bands (like The All-American Rejects, well done, guys ;-) ) and also companies (like Macy´s) are having such a pages account, we also should go for one. We discussed about using Google+ for openSUSE in the past and especially during release time, this could be helpfull.
