regarding the contributors gift. Regarding that, did you already get
that? If i know well it's been sent in 2009 right? Who of You got that?
(i'm asking because i live in Poland which is very near germany where
it was sent from?) Could someone enlighten me:)?? I don't want to make
another lightscribe DVD with openSUSE 11.1 if i'm going to receive it.
Best Regards

Are openSUSE 11.1 Promo DVDs available, if we request them for upcoming
local events ?
For 11.0, information[1] and order[2] page were prepared. Is there any
plan to provide order form for 11.1 ?

[2] http://software.opensuse.org/promodvd
Or, should we send a private mail and ask dirctly to Martin each time
when we need them, as described in this post ?

Hi @all!
I've updated the weekly-news-translation-tool. Now we've 2 versions:
* weekly-news-translation-tool
* weekly-news-translation-tool-web
Release notes:
##############
weekly-news-translation-tool
----------------------------
This is the known tool. It imports the en.txt file and the translation.ini present in
the current folder and exchanges the predefined strings.
New: With "-a" you can switch the mode to replace _ALL_ occurrences of a string !
The default mode is still to exchange only the first occurrence.
Example: weekly-news-translation-tool JP
weekly-news-translation-tool -a JP
weekly-news-translation-tool-web
--------------------------------
This new script is able to load the text directly from the wiki and doesn't need the
en.txt to be present in the current folder. Nevertheless the translate.ini has still
to be present in the current folder.
The "-a" switch works in this version, too.
Example: weekly-news-translation-tool JP 51
weekly-news-translation-tool -a JP 51
The tool is available here: http://software.opensuse.org/search/?q=weekly-news
(version 0.0.3 !)
A current translate.ini is included as
/usr/share/doc/packages/weekly-news-translation-tool/example/translate.ini .
The script should work also with the news template, but some strings might need
some adjustment.
HAVE PHUN!
Best regards,
Jan-Simon

Since the icon for "Security Updates" in the Talk page is replaced by
Minton with his recommendation already, I point out my first draft once
again for other members.
http://en.opensuse.org/Image:OWN-oxygen-Security-Update.png
And I have a second option for that and I put it in Japanese template I
prepared.
http://ja.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/Full-New#.E3.82.BB.E3.…
I understand you consider the "Bomb" icon does not correspond to the
section. But IMHO, everyone without special reason *should* apply
security fix as soon as possible, and I think this section is a kind of
"Warning". Therefore I think *red* colored icon is better than *green*
colored one.

1.) Weekly News Mascot
2.) New Templates
3.) IRC Meeting frequency
1.) Weekly News Mascot
=====================
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE_Weekly_News/Logo: We are waiting for the
official guidelines. Waiting to Board/Zonker.
2.) New Templates
================
It exists 2 Candidates:
* http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/icon-set-tango
* http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/icon-set-oxygen
The present people voted for Oxygen. But with the following changes:
The Sectionicon from "Planet SUSE" is to be changed to the original
*.png from PlanetSUSE. Board-icon -> opensuse logo as in tango
New/updated Icon is changed with an other.
We use the New Template in the next issue.
2.1) Problems with the new Template
==============================
We have an Problem, if we use /?p=1111 in the Feedback Section. Please
go to the Editpage of the Newsletter. In the Section Feedback you have
the following entry: {{Sablon:PointHere|[[Image:OWN-tango-FCG.png|
48px]]|
Here you must place an "2="at the End of the Line. Now you see:
{{Sablon:PointHere|[[Image:OWN-tango-FCG.png|48px]]|2=
Now the Template runs perfectly.
3.) IRC Chat frequency
==================
Now the official IRC Team Meeting is on every 3rd Saturay of every Month
at 12:00 UTC.
Every Saturday we meet us in Gobby, and have only an short IRC Session.
Only questions about the actual Newsletter. Other Topics we discuss in
the official Meetings.
