i install the fglrx from the ati repository, i install the kernel modulo and the driver, this is the unique form to install in my ati x200. i hope in opensuse 11 can run perfect normaly my ati. 2008/2/20, Andreas van dem Helge <joakimsen(a)gmail.com>: > Same boat here. Hi, If you're interested in latest live CDs, check out ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/FactoryLiveCDs It got xdelta files against the latest released live CD. [opensuse-factory] yast repositories and software management

The yast software management module still takes a rather long time to start up. I often do this and then find myself missing a repository, or an enable switch on one of them. So far this has always meant having to exit the software module again because they lock each other out. How much chance is there to be able to call the repository module from within the software module? [opensuse-factory] alpha2 installation problems

There's a mean bug with the window asking whether to proceed with installation and start formatting disks - clicking outside that window brings the rest of the graphics to the front and the popup window disappears forever, wasting all effort so far. While configuring the installation there are massive problems accessing the IDE disk - effective 500k/s transfer rate, iowait 98%, highest system load is top with 2%. Always when "analyzing the system" for boot loader configuration, but in other places too. It's a PII-450 with Intel MX chipset, so chances are noone cares, but it runs perfect with 10.3. Is this expected behaviour or a bug? Btw the graphics is really cool and the time zone selection map is wow^3! The installation config is streamlined in a positive way, no problems encountered. It's installation packages now while I have a good night's sleep. [opensuse-factory] Alpha2 couldn't detect network module on HV4

Hi, I was trying to install opensuse-11.0-Alpha2 on Power6 box. I got failures when trying to select n/w port .. *** No network device found. Load a network module first. Following are the modules which are already loaded cdrom ATAPI CD-ROM Driver scsi_mod SCSI CD-ROM driver SCSI Disk Driver SCSI Tape Driver NFS Client IBM Power Linux RAID adapter USB Mass Storage Device Driver POWER6 ehea Symbios 53c8xx As netboot was not working..I have booted p6 box with "inst64" up via local yaboot loader(pre-installed OS). After booting up I selected NFS , then n/w port to be used.Other than above modules i selected ibmveth, iseries virtual ethernet drivers also. I noticed in pre-installed OS in p6 box(HV4) that , it used "ehea" as a driver. [opensuse-factory] Where to find the newest factory tree?

On page http://en.opensuse.org/Factory/News I can find info that the current kernel version is 2.6.24.1 I thought it should be possible to download this kernel from http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/i… but there is only kernel-default-2.6.24-8.i586.rpm. Is there some other, more current place where I can find the newest factory tree? -- Rafał Miłecki
