[opensuse-factory] 11a2 KDE...?

Is the KDE on 11a2 supposed to work? Because for me it's useless. Totally kaputt. konqueror crashes on every second page, and the only window the KDE->system settings ever show is the KDE crash handler. Still haven't found kcontrol to make that KDE usable. Upgraded (zypper dup) to gwdg factory, no difference. I used gwdg because the download.opensuse.org/... URL only gave me a choice of do nothing, or uninstall kdebase & co, so I passed on that one. Are others having more luck or is it me only? Are KDE bug reports of interest at this point? [opensuse-factory] Switching consoles during installation?

Hi, I installed from DVD. When the installation started partitioning the system I was not able to switch to a console with CTRL+ALT+F1 and so on. After the reboot, it worked again. Just out of interest, why does zypper have a problem here? Package scriptutils requires tcsh, and tcsh-6.15.00-35.12 is installed. dup (and a few others) result in this: zypper> in -t package tcsh Problem: scriptutils-1.40-1.noarch requires /bin/tcsh, but none of the providers can be installed Solution 1: deinstallation of scriptutils-1.40-1.noarch Solution 2: do not install tcsh-6.15.00-47.i586 The dependency by scriptutils is already met as tcsh is installed. There's a newer version, but that should be irrelevant. Why however can the newer tcsh not be installed although it (as per zypper) provides /bin/tcsh as well? [opensuse-factory] virtualbox-ose-guest-tools has wrong dependency

Hello, I tried to install virtualbox-ose-guest-tools 1.5.4-23.1@i586 for openSUSE 10.2 but the installer complains that "... no package provides virtualbox-kmp". There is however the package virtualbox-ose-kmp-default 1.5.4_2.6.18.8_0.9-23.1@i586 which provides virtualbox-ose-kmp. Could somebody please correct this dependence error? Hi, The current repository has broken patterns and it can take a while for i386 to recover from an internal build system problem (the base package coreutils was split and caused some trouble). So don't report broken Factory repo - it may take till Friday for download.o.o to have an uptodate repository as we need to rebuild. Hi, Right now factory is broken and I don't know when zypper 0.10 will hit you, but I want to warn you: You will need to find some other time to cook your tea now. But it of course comes with a graint of salt: please look even closer if the results are meaningful. So please use the saved time to make sure beta1 works the way it should. Therefore, do not understand I have been watching the logs and no miro any failure by any side concerning the card, which I have been noticing is that the problem is the same distribution why send this email to the problem is solved in the next version, suse many users have had the same problem as we see in www.forosuse.org, the problem is that with the distribution Ubuntu, and mandriva runs very well compiz fusion while suse anything, I have done a thousand configuration xorg.conf and nothing.
