[opensuse-wiki] Wiki is being filled with spam.

Hi. In the last two or three days a high amount of spam has been added to the wiki. Someone should ban the user and revert all the editions done and files uploaded. The spammer has added a bit of spam in the Spanish wiki too so she may have done the same in other localized wikis. I have blocked the user in the Spanish wiki and reverted his editions. In addition I'd like to know if it is possible to completely remove the user and the editions he has done from the history. Hello, the wiki search is completely broken/down - it results in An error has occurred while searching: HTTP request timed out. Can a wiki server admin please fix this? [opensuse-wiki] Suggested improvement to the Wiki

Hi, I have been doing a little editing of the openSUSE Wiki and I thought I would ask for the wikEd extension (no link provided as this message was blocked when I included it) to be added to the openSUSE Wiki. It's a gadget that individual users can choose to enable or disable (via their user preferences) for their own use and it provides some text editor features to the Wiki markup-editing interface, most importantly, in my opinion, it provides syntax highlighting for the Wiki markup. Please don't see this as some sort of attack or insult (some people find asking for improvements as either an attack or an insult), I am honestly just asking because I think this would make it easier for editors to contribute to the Wiki. [opensuse-wiki] wiki redesign

Hello, I like the new design of the opensuse website[1]. In my opinion the wiki should get adjusted to match it more. In general I think our wiki doesn't look great but of course that is a matter of taste. I think the Funtoo[2] and Gentoo[3] wikis look nice and the design makes them a bit more readable. A similar design, all those round corner, code block, "flat design" (is that what you call it?) look nice. Atop of it taking the colors from [1] and it would look a lot prettier. Just wanted to start this, let's see where it goes. [opensuse-wiki] Improve the application template

Hi I've written a suggestion[0] for an improvement to the application template[0]. I've: * Added the intro-template to the top * Removed suggestion for About section. It violates the guidelines: "Do not use About or Introduction as name of the first section." [2] * Commented out the TOC Most application pages are too small for this to be useful. * Changed bullet points from requirement to a suggestion. When features are forced into bullet points, they sometimes become very long, and long bullet points are hard to read. * Removed horizontal rules. They are useful to separate sections on long pages, but they make short article look messy. * Removed the section "See also". There's a link to the project site in the right hand Application box, and categories are the primary, self updating way of finding related software but are shadowed by "see also" and "external links". (I'm not certain about this last one, but there's just so much stuff going on that's not a part of the article that it just drowns out the actual content [3]. External links are also hard to understand by themselves when not explained properly such as inline links are.) So, what do you think? Would this be a change for the better?
