I decided to start working on a script to scan the openSUSE wiki and print out
the current category hierarchy. I had already notified Rajko of this via his
talk page saying that I would probably not be able to work out the bugs for
another 2 weeks. It turns out I am ahead of schedule!
I have posted the output on my user page, http://en.opensuse.org/User:Last2kn0.
I am considering putting this output side by side with the proposed categories
in the openSUSE:Category_Hierarchy page. If someone would like me to post the
script, I can also do that.
This should help us keep an eye on how we are transforming what we currently
have into what we proposed!

I agree, it would be a good idea to have a template that marks pages that need
to be updated for new releases. This would help keep the wiki up to date and
further guide editors to work that needs to be done.

Hello,
there exist Template:Merge and Template:Expand but nothing to mark an page
(eg http://en.opensuse.org/Network_Install) just in need to be adapted to
latest developments/releases. How about introducing one, "NeedsUpdate"?
Bye,

Hi there,
Is there a dedicated page for talks (videos/slides) for non-FOSDEM talks?
If not, I'd create one and would appreciate any input from the people who made
the cleanup.
How about filing these things under Community:Talks or something like that?
Cheers,
Jan

Hello,
I was just about to write a How-To when I discovered something pretty
weird: on top of the main site, en.opensuse.org (and it probably
applies to all other languages as well) there is no link to the How-TOs
( http://en.opensuse.org/Howtos )
The box "Discover It" contains only a link to the SDB. But, especially
new users, what do you think they are they looking for... HOW TO do
something... and there is no link to the How-TOs...
So my proposal is to add a link pointing to
http://en.opensuse.org/Howtos to the left box named "Discover It". Of
course, the same could be done with all [LANG].opensuse.org sites.
Regards
Malte

Hi,
Maybe here are some people wanting to improve the pages behind
http://build.opensuse.org as well. It is really easy to setup an own instance
(takes just 5 commands and 3 minutes of waiting):
http://lizards.opensuse.org/2008/05/07/easy-obs-web-client-development/
Just because I made yesterday my first blog entry and it even helped myself
today improving a usebillity issue within minutes. And that before the
coffee ! :)
bye
