Hi,
all wikis I have access to, are now updated to the new Homepage and the
new left navigation.
I have no access to the Italian and Japanese wiki and have no
permissions update the left nav for the Swedish wiki. If you are the
maintainer of one of these wikis, you will receive a mail with the
contents from Martin within the next few days.
I hope I did not make too many mistakes - it's not very easy to edit
pages in languages you have no clue about ;-). Maintainers, please
check your starting page and the left nav (MediaWiki:Sidebar).
I did not have translations for all news-in these cases I used
English-you may want to change that. I also had no translations
for "Home" in the left nav (we added that later)... .
A note on the "Featured Article" section:
I put comments around this section, so it does not show up on the
starting pages. I think it is probably the best if the maintainer
decides what to put here...

Hello.
I didn't see an announce for the new layout? not already
sent or did I miss it?
various front pages don't have the same aspect.
French and german, for example, have the three right boxes
with one line around them and are separated. english and
spanish ones have a news box _including_ the two other ones?
which is the good layout?
menus are not alike in french and english pages. is it up to
me to fix this or must I wait for others using the menu
translation?
may be there where no annouce because the changes are not
complete :-)
thanks

I don't have edit rights there, the czech wiki maintainer will have to
do this. opensuse-wiki(a)opensuse.org is the best list to reach the wiki
maintainers, reply-to set.

Hi,
How can I upload files to the wiki without having to use a file
extension? I'm trying to upload script files to
http://en.opensuse.org/Boot_time/Scripts.
Thanks,

I started Portal page at:
http://en.opensuse.org/Portal
There will be more sub indexes in next few days as I get time to sort out what
present categories to include in portal, and index those. For those that want
to join, go to
http://en.opensuse.org/Portal/All
copy the list to your favorite editor and sort out article that belong to some
subcategory, for instance Development, etc.
Have a fun.

Hi Friends,
I would like to start translating the opensuse wiki to the brazilian
portuguese. I know there is already a translation to portuguese, but
it's based on the european portuguese, which is very different from the
brazilian.
How can I start? What would be the URL, since there is a pt.opensuse.org
? Could it be br.opensuse.org ?

The article
http://en.opensuse.org/Frequently_Asked_Questions
should be located on
http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE:Frequently_Asked_Questions
as present title should be reserved for users looking for
index of Frequently Asked Questions, not for one of items in the list.
Can somebody change that, and when?

Re. "mailing lists are too hard to use", people who can't follow simple
instructions to join (send an e-mail to... to subscribe, send an e-mail
to... to unsubscribe) probably won't be helped by the message content
in any case. [Glenn Holmer in opensuse]
