[opensuse-wiki] Sidebar broken

Hi, for me the sidebar in the english wiki is broken. For example on: http://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Project I see on the left side empty "Search", "Toolbox" and "Languages" boxes. [opensuse-wiki] Wiki Status Update

I have managed to repair the wikis on stage. Here is the status for each wiki. No need for repair: en de Repaired without error: el fi is it ja languages nl pl sv tr vi zh-tw Repaired (pages lost due to duplication errors): es (9) fr (20) hu (12) pt (11) ru (30) zh (16) Aside from a lot of missing front pages, it looks pretty good to me. I would at least one admin/sysop from each wiki to test their wiki on stage and report back to me (either directly or through the mailing list). As I hear back from each admin, I will apply the changes to the production wiki and unlock it for editing. If you still find too many problems with the wiki, I can roll it back to last Saturday and we can work from there. You can test your wiki on stage by appending "stage" to the subdomain of the wiki (e.g. destage.opensuse.org) These wikis contain the current production snapshot, so this is how they will look in production. I apologize for all the issues that this upgrade has caused. I believe the worst of it is behind us. -Matt

Hey, Subhashish, a Google Code In student has made the proposal to include a list of popular portals onto the main page so people can get there with fewer clicks. I have implemented this with DynamicPageList in the Template:Portal_footer. It's online on the main page. What do you think? [opensuse-wiki] Theming Issues Fixed

Hello, A bunch of the theming issues have now been fixed. The problem came from the new MW software using a new PHP script (loader.php) to pull in the javascript and stylesheets instead of having the browser pull them in directly. For security and aesthetic purposes, I have an Apache rewrite that redirects all but a specific list of PHP files. Since loader.php is new, it was not on that list, and Apache wasn't letting it run. Adding that file in the RewriteCond fixed it right up. The good news is that we can now take advantage of centralized loading of css and javascript. Since the majority of page loading time comes from dozens of HTTP requests for these resources, these front end optimizations should make the wikis *much* faster. I don't know if that fixed the red link issue offhand, since I can't find any pages that have broken links. Anyone who knows of a page I can test? -Matt

Hello Everyone, i'm hawake, the coordinator of the Italian traslation of the Wiki. I'm here to report some troubles we are having using the wiki: - [0] http://it.opensuse.org/Portal:Wiki/Novità ( a page we used like showcase ) has disappeared completely... - the <gallery> tag is now messed up (example: http://it.opensuse.org/KDE) ; - now, comparing two versions of the same page is more difficult because of non highlighted changes with different colors; - the link [edit] for each section, now on the left, messes the titles layout complicating the readability. Does someone have an idea about how to solve the <gallery> issue? And do you know why pages like [0] has disappeared completely (no history...)? Thanks for help!
