Hi,
At http://en.opensuse.org/Help:Editing it says:
············· [edit] Adding an image
Images can increase the clarity of an idea better than text alone. To add an image simply link to it with , save the page, click on the red link and use the Upload file form to upload the image. ·············
When doing that, I get to a page that says:
············· to use the full version of the file
to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the left margin with 'alt text' as description
for directly linking to the file without displaying the file ·············
I'm using the second version. However, the image does not appear on the left margin, but a small image inside a box that covers the entire width of the column. Is this right?
Are there more posibilities, like an image with text flowed around?
(I'm writing http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Offline_upgrade)

The wiki uses mediawiki, does it not? So have you looked at
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Images
I guess not, since you ask about flowed text.
Cheers, Dave

Huh? I did, it was at the bottom.

That one.
If you mean the one I get when uploading, I don't have the link, I'll have it when I send another photo.

I didn't know, thanks.

Try template http://en.opensuse.org/Template:Text_and_image In a few minutes I'll add sample usage to the instructions.

Yes, that's is what I want, but I would have to rewrite all the text. I'll leave it then as it is for the moment.
Maybe I should use something else, like a gallery.

I made a gallery of images, uploaded some, but today I can't upload more: the name of the file shows in black and I don't get the red link that I click to upload them.

Did I break some rule? Is something changed or broken on the server?

I upgraded to FF 10 yesterday. Maybe it is a FF problem? Or not, seamonkey and konqueror have the same problem :-(

No, just with gallery you don't get red links. What you uploaded before switching to gallery that is present.
You'll find all links on: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB_Talk:Offline_upgrade

I would never guessed.

Thanks. I would have managed with your comment above, but thanks :-)
I was about to try something similar to that on my own, I thought something might be broken with galleries, a limit of some kind.

and you was right about limitation :)
I would actually call that a bug, but as that is present since ever and no one changed behavior it seems that majority is happy with current status.

It could be documented in the... I was going to say, the page where how to upload images is explained, but the page is not ours. It is http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Images
