The iBook G3 come with a white LED that's active if the device sleeps.
On 10.2 during installation you seem to misuse it to signal hard disk
activity. How can I disable it?

Hello,
Well we know now that PowerPC and openSuse is not the
combination that some of us hoped for.
But the way to go is use of the factory, which might be
a good idea if only I knew where to start:
- there is 1 entry in the powerpc/factory/iso,
openSUSE-NET-ppc-Build0009-Media.iso,
that doesnot boot!
- there are more entries in the "regular" factory/iso.
- openSUSE-GNOME-LiveDC-x86_64-Build0336-Media.iso,
booted on a virual machine under VitualBox but
died during prepare for install.
- openSUSE-NET-x86_64-Build0011-Media.iso,
didnot boot.
I am trying to get my brain around the factory process
but either I am too dim and should forgat about it or
there is a need for more documentation (I studied a
lot of it)
Please advise.
thank you and greetings,
Klaas Punt

As I wanted to install openSuSE on my new PS3. I was looking for openSuSE
11.2 but I saw that openSuSE 11.2 doesn't exist.
Does anyone know if there is a openSuSE 11.2 reposity from where I can
install openSuSE 11.2.
I've now installed openSuSE 11.1 which works fine. But I want to install
the latest release.
I would like to know what the future of OpenSuSE for ppc is and how it
will be handled in respect to releases?
Regards,
Joop.

Hi,
I looked for output from factory to install om my PPC.
The place I looked into was: powerpc.opensuse.org/factory/iso/
which still contained the .iso file I downloaded and tried to
install 10 days ago with no success (it doesn't boot).
My question is: Do I look in the right place? If that is correct
I will just check thee directory from time to time. If not,
where should I look?
greetings,
Klaas.
