Hello All.
I'm trying to install Suse PPC 7.3 on a Umax s900, and am having trouble.
The configuration is as follows:
Umax s900 mainboard
Apple 604e/133 (Also tried Railgun G3 300)
512KB cache
80MB ram (16 onboard + 2x 32MB dimms, interleaved)
adaptec 2940UW PCI slot B
ATI xclaim VR 4MB PCI slot A
IBM 2.1GB wide SCSI, ID 0 on adaptec, MacOS 9.1
Seagate ST39173LW U2W scsi, ID 1 on adaptec, 100MB macos simple, 128mb swap, 8.4gb root/ext2
Toshiba XM-5701B 12X cdrom drive
Floppy
I downloaded the files from the Suse ftp, install-oldworld and bootx.
Installed bootx, chose install-oldworld as the kernel file, and boot linux
Linux starts, loads the installer, and I start install using FTP.
It downloads the packages for Yast, and gives me dialogue where I can choose Yast or Yast2
i can choose either one, but for both it goes throught the loading screen,
then gives me an error: "An Error Occurred During Installation!"
If I change processes, I get the following on #3
OK, going to mount 0.0.0.0:/cdrom ...
auto2_net_dev:438 NFS Mount Failed
auto2_find_install_medium:754OK, that didn't work; see if we can activate anoth
