Hi guys.
Just got 11.4/KDE3 running on an old Compaq DL380 G2 server. It has
dual P3/1.4Ghz chips and 6GB RAM.
The video is a Rage XL 8MB on board.
Running KDE3, the desktop is EXTREMELY slow. I don't see a module
loaded for it. I doubt the ATI repo has any drivers for something
this old, and without the good old SaX2, I'm kinda stumped on how to
fix this.
Any ideas?
Thanx

Those of you who has problems with kcontrol can now try another tool that
provides a similar functionality - systemsettings-kde3. Just install this
package and find it in the menu.

Saw this on all of the distro home pages except for Gentoo. A very
intriguing idea
"The Canterbury Distribution
We are pleased to announce the birth of the Canterbury distribution.
Canterbury is a merge of the efforts of the community distributions
formerly known as Debian, Gentoo, Grml, openSUSE and Arch Linux.
The target is to produce a really unified effort and be able to stand
up in a combined effort against proprietary operating systems, to show
off that the Free Software community is actually able to work together
for a common goal instead of creating more diversity."
