knetworkmanager should now work with wi-fi. I have just connected my laptop to
wlan with knetworkmanager-kde3.

I just did a fresh install of OpenSuSE 11.4 and KDE 3.5 lastnight on
my computer. The first thing I noticed is that the KDE Control Center
loads blank so I can't adjust a lot of KDE's settings. Need help :-)

You can now test a new package - kde3-kupdateapplet
This is an icon that sits in system tray and notifies if there are any official updates available.
Note that it only reports official updates (and acssociated bug reports) so if you have additional
repositories attached (such as LibreOffice:Stable) the update
may lead to a version downgrade (so choose the updates smartly).

And yes, the empty kcontrol issue is in the list as you can see :-)

Until a better help comes along, you can do the individual applets one by
one. Open Konsole, then do kcmshell --help to see an applet list from which
you can choose what you need.

Hello:
I installed openSUSE 11.4 with KDE3 using KDE3 repo.
The installation of KDE3 was very smooth.
Kudos to all who made the KDE3 repo for 11.4 and keep KDE alive.
Thanks!

Ilya, all
After the latest updates, the list of screensavers is GONE from
kcontrol/screensaver and from the rt-click on desktop screensaver section. Here
is a screenshot:

What should I check? Anybody else see this?

Hello fellow KDE3 users,
Hopefully some of our dedicated KDE3 loyalists are planning to port KDE3 to
openSUSE 12.0. If so, also hopefully someone will make a detailed how-to for
installation. An iso would even be better, Wish I had the talent to do that
stuff.
Presently running 11.3 with KDE3. Works great. I also have `11.4 with KDE4 and
I hate it. Does a lot of stuff and is really "cool" and glitzy that is wasted
on me,but there is a lot of functionality missing that KDE3 has. My Kmail
address book is the major show stopper.
