Hi,
I have installed TW (i586) and LXQT on an old
laptop. Suspend and hibernate work via hotkeys resp. systemctl.
lxqt-config-powermanagement is configured to have lid controlled
(suspend when closed) and battery monitored.
Both does not work. In the log I see:
Mär 11 19:07:46 eeePC systemd-logind[1208]: Lid closed.
Mär 11 19:07:55 eeePC systemd-logind[1208]: Lid opened.
but no suspend took place. Same with battery control: It just runs
until battery is empty.
Anyone an idea what is missing? Laptop-pattern is installed.
Thanks
Axel

Dear Community,
Since January, openQA has been reporting on steam crashing on startup.
A bug had beenfiled for the maintainer, but since then, no reaction has
happened.
So, as the designated maintainer seems to have other tasks at hand, I'm
sure he'd welcome if somebody else from the community could jump in and
help out.
If nobody steps up, I'm afreaid we'll have to drop Steam from the
repos. Which, for one, sounds like a shame. On the other hand, seems
nobody in the userbase realized in the last two months that steam was
not working?!? So it might not even be that big of an issue if we drop
it.
Cheers
Dominique
Hi all,
Do the recent Tumbleweed snapshots have the relevant fix to allow Virtualbox
6.0.4 to run without manual intervention when installed from the Oracle
package (rather than from the TW repo), or do I need to install it first from
the TW repo to get the fixes?
The reason I ask is because I use dkms to manage the module installation if
switching kernels, but I seem to remember that that doesn't work if installed
from the openSUSE/TW repo packages because they use pre-built kernel modules.
It also has a dependency on a specific kernel version, but I'm running 5.0.0
from the kernel-head TW repo.
Regards,
Rodney.
