[opensuse-factory] Unable to install TW Net image - loop after role selection

For over a week I am not able to install TW in QEMU VM. I have identical existing VM that is being updated without problem so it appears to be installer related. VM is started using ~/src/qemu/build/x86_64-softmmu/qemu-system-x86_64 -machine q35 -cpu kvm64 -m 1G -device virtio-scsi-pci -drive file=$HOME/vm/curl/hd0.img,if=none,id=hd0,discard=on,format=raw -device scsi-hd,drive=hd0 -netdev user,id=uplink -device virtio-net-pci,netdev=uplink -enable-kvm -name Tumbleweed-curl-test -drive file=Загрузки/openSUSE-Tumbleweed-NET-x86_64-Snapshot20190320-Media.iso,if=none,format=raw,id=cd -device scsi-cd,drive=cd -boot d QEMU is build from GIT and corresponds to v3.1.0 tag. [opensuse-factory] replacement for master-boot-code

A recent Tumbleweed snapshot removed master-boot-code. What is the replacement, has the replacement been tested? The code in master-boot-record.rpm did just look for a primary, active partition and loads/runs the startup code from that partition. What I learned the hard was a couple of times is that Windows, after certain updates are installed, will not boot anymore unless its boot partition is marked as active in the partition table. I think sometimes it would refuse to install certain updates if its boot partition is not marked as active. Olaf

[opensuse-factory] issue with postgresql-devel

Hello, I was surprised with automated mail that my package zabbix was failing building on openSUSE:Factory, after trying to build it locally i have discovered that postgresql-devel does not even install development package (11 in this moment...) and as in package i only require meta package postgresql-devel it now fails with pg_config not found. Can someone share logic which now should be used that is portable between versions of openSUSE? [opensuse-factory] Tiger VNC

Hi, currently Tiger VNC is installed via basic pattern and therefore included in any oS installation. I'd like to discuss it's inclusion. 1. Tiger VNC looks quite "old fashioned". Is it really necessary to keep this thing? 2. As Tiger VNC is coming from basic desktop pattern and e.g. the Gtk tool "Remmina" rooting from the Xfce pattern we have some duplication here. So removing Tiger VNC would solve that and put the selection of remote desktop tools up to the respective DE's patterns. 3. This might be a bit unpopular for "the maker's choice" of distributions, but: Is some remote desktop client needed at all in a default installation? What do you think? [opensuse-factory] Anyone experience with racket's raco in OBS?

Hi, I'm just looking for a way to install a racket package with its dependencies below a DESTDIR and this without network connection. The raco command provides things like `pkg install' but not DESTDIR option for the option -i nor a local only option as well, also the raco distribution nor exec command extension seems to work here Without network connection means that the dependencies had to be available in a local source path. And installing as user abuild for the system means that there should be a DESTDIR with the same tree structure as in the standard root tree.
