- Use a faster way of quoting an element in the plain text

respect the wrap/don't wrap preference.
- Critical warning could be seen in console after pasting the
content.

- Update to version 3.20.4:
+ Bugs fixed: bgo#722193, bgo#767335, bgo#634294.
+ Updated translations.
==== glib2-branding-openSUSE ====
- Do not attempt to build -openSUSE on SLE and -SLE on openSUSE:
trick the .spec file to ExclusiveArch: %nil in this case.
- Make gnome-settings-daemon housekeeping plugin ignore /boot/efi
[bsc#919217].
Summary from bsc#919217:
"On a default UEFI installation, /boot/efi is created with a size
of 156MB. It will cause gnome-settings-daemon to popup a warning,
if logged as root (not 100% sure when logged as a regular user)
that a partition has less than than 1GB of free space.
/boot/efi should be added to default schema
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugin.housekeeping ignore-paths"
- Resync with glib2-branding-SLE and simplify specfile.
- Replaces Requires by Recommends on wallpaper-branding-openSUSE:
gio-branding-openSUSE is required by glib2, which is causing
openSUSE wallpaper as hard dependency on non-graphical install.

remotely in SSL/TLS.

mbedtls_rsa_rsaes_oaep_encrypt

when the three arguments where the same (in-place doubling).
Found and fixed by Janos Follath. #309
+ Fix issue in Makefile that prevented building using armar.
+ Fix issue that caused a hang up when generating RSA keys of
odd bitlength
+ Fix bug in mbedtls_rsa_rsaes_pkcs1_v15_encrypt that made

to mbedtls_ssl_conf_curves. #373
* Changes

+ Fix non-compliance server extension handling. Extensions for
SSLv3 are now ignored, as required by RFC6101.

Version update (1.13.4 -> 1.14.0)
Subpackages: libnfsidmap-sss libsss_idmap0 libsss_nss_idmap0 sssd-32bit sssd-krb5-common sssd-ldap
- Update to new upstream release 1.14.0
* The AD provider is now able to look up users from Active
Directory domains by certificate. This change enables logins for
Active Directory users with the help of a smart card.
* The sss_override tool is now able to add certificates as local
overrides in the SSSD cache. Please note that the certificate
overrides are stored in the local cache, so removing the cache
also removes all the certificates!
* Invalid certificates are skipped instead of aborting the whole
operation when logging in with a smart card using SSH.
* This version allows several OCSP-related options such as the OCSP
responder to be configured during smart card authentication.
* SSSD is now able to determine the name of the user who logs in
from the inserted smart card without having to type in the
username. Note that this functionality must be enabled with the
allow_missing_name pam_sss option.
* The sss_cache command line tool is now able to invalidate SUDO
rules with its new -r/-R switches. Note that the sudo rules ar
not refreshed with the sss_cache tool immediately.
* A new command line tool called sssctl was added. This tool
allows to observe the status of SSSD.
* A new option local_negative_timeout was added. This option
allows the admin to specify the time during which lookups for
users that are not handled by SSSD but are present on the
system (typically in /etc/passwd and /etc/group) and prevents
repeated lookups of local users on the remote server during
initgroups operation.
* An ID-mapping plugin for the winbind deamon was added. With
this plugin, it's possible for winbind to use the same
ID-mapping scheme as SSSD uses, producing consistent ID values.
- Remove 0001-build-detect-endianness-at-configure-time.patch
(included upstream)

==== texinfo ====
Version update (6.0 -> 6.1)
Subpackages: info makeinfo
- Update to 6.1
* Language:
. You can now omit the @menu from nodes with other nodes below them in
the document structure. If you use "@validatemenus off" near the
start of a Texinfo file, makeinfo will, where needed, create a menu
for nodes lacking one given explicitly.
. An @setfilename line is no longer required at the start of a
Texinfo file. (Be aware, though, that some other tools may require
it, for example Automake.)
. For processing with TeX, a comma is automatically provided following
a cross-reference command (such as @xref) when needed to separate
the page number from following text, so you don't need to add one
yourself. See the `Parts of a Cross Reference' node in the manual
for details. Behavior when followed by punctuation, as always
recommended previously, is unchanged.
* texi2any:
. Some Perl modules have been rewritten in C to increase speed.
If Perl extensions can be created, they are used by default;
otherwise the pure Perl implementations are still used.
Disable at build time with "configure --disable-perl-xs". The
environment variable TEXINFO_XS controls how they are used by
texi2any.
. Quotation marks are left out for node names and index entries in
Info output where they would have been produced by commands such
as @file or @option.
. New customization variable INFO_SPECIAL_CHARS_QUOTE to allow use of
a quoting mechanism for problematic constructs in Info output, for
example node names containing colons or commas.
. Commands like @heading are affected by @lowersections and @raisesections
again, as was the case before Texinfo 5.0.
* texinfo.tex:
. You may explicitly specify a sort key for an index entry by preceding
the text of the entry with the @sortas commmand with the sort key
desired as a braced argument. Additionally, you may choose to
ignore all occurences of the characters \, @, <, and - using new
flags you can specify with @set: `txiindexbackslashignore',
`txiindexatsignignore', `txiindexlessthanignore', and
`txiindexhyphenignore' respectively.
. Changes to macro handling to more closely match makeinfo. Ends of
lines are preserved in an argument to a macro taking a single
argument.
. By default, suppress heading line on a page with a chapter on it, to
avoid having the chapter title repeated.
. Use a larger font for arguments in a @deffn line and similar.
. The default indices (cp, ky and so on) now don't get a file opened
for them unless they are actually used. This reduces the number of
files that a run of TeX produces, and also allows for a greater
number of user-defined indices, because you will not bump into TeX's
limit of 16 open files at once so soon.
. For initials in indices that are non-alphanumeric characters (for
example, backslash, or braces), avoid use of a typewriter font.
This gives a more consistent appearance.
. Have a stronger preference for breaking a column in an index before
a letter heading.
. Formatting improvements in tables of contents and indices. Entries
can extend slightly into the margin instead of being broken across
two lines, and text is split more evenly across lines. Reduce
chance of an orphaned index entry appearing at the top of a column.
. Support character encodings beyond ASCII for XeTeX and LuaTeX by
reading file input byte-by-byte.
* texi2dvi:
. Support for determining the output files using the `-recorder'
option to TeX, to help to support more TeX engines.
* info:
. New user variables `link-style', `active-link-style', and
`match-style' enable customization of how cross-references and search
matches are highlighted.
. By default only the node pointers are displayed at the top of a node.
Customize this with the `nodeline' variable.
. New command M-x tree-search to search all subnodes of a node.
. Now tries to find referenced manuals in the same directory as the
current file first, before looking in search path. Customize this
with new variable `follow-strategy'.
. The `mouse' variable is now off by default, in order not to
interfere with the selection of text in a terminal emulator window.
. `q' closes a window instead of quitting altogether if there's more
than one, for example if a help window is open.
. Several bug fixes, including:
. one causing the wrong position in a node to be shown when
following an "anchor" cross-reference
. one causing a test failure in the t/c-u-m-x-scroll-forward.sh
test on some platforms
. Internal changes to reduce memory use and increase speed of
searches, relative to last release
. The meaning of the `key-time' variable has changed when its value
is 0. This value meant to wait forever in the last release, but now
it means that the next byte must be available immediately.
* Documentation:
. The `info.info' file (and `info.texi' source) is no longer
distributed with Texinfo. Now this manual is only in Emacs.

Hello,
openblas package [1] has strange build problems for x86_64 architecture
without any other errors:
> collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Unfortunately I can't reproduce this situation outside of openSUSE:Factory
repository. Are there any ideas?

[opensuse-factory] K3b Version 2.9.90+git20160111.2358-11.7-x86_64 - packman) and ISO burning

Hi
For Info....
This version is screwed with regards to ISO burning, sticks at 0% trying to do
the MD5 check.
The version 2.0.3 in KDE Extra seems fine.
Do you still create a bug for k3b in KDE bugs for a Packman version?
Regards
Ian

I need some advice on where to report this bug.
System:
Tumbleweed x64 + packman essentials, KDE 5, amdgpu
AMD GPU (R9 Fury X) @ 4k Monitor with internal speakers and headphone jack
Problem:
No sound over DP 1.1 or 1.2 with the internal speakers nor the headphone
jack
Strange:
pavucontrol says the DP cable is unplugged
Sound works @:
Win10: DP out, digital coax out, analog out
TW: digital coax out, analog out
However when using DP I can see the sound volume bar jumping up and down
in pavucontrol when playing back music etc. Sound is not muted.
What I tried:
fixes from the ArchLinux wiki (like using DP 1.1 or kernel parameter
amdgpu.audio = 1)
Pontostroys X11 repo with amdgpu / mesa / llvm git
Notes:
there are bug reports stating that DP audio should work with kernel >=3.18
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72717
Questions:
To which bugtracker do I report?
- kernel
- amdgpu
- pulseaudio
Anyone else of you having this problem?
thx guys :)

With todays zypper dup I got following results.
13 packages to upgrade, 93 to downgrade, 53 to change vendor.
Overall download size: 77.3 MiB. Already cached: 0 B. After the operation,
additional 4.6 MiB will be used.
Continue? [y/n/? shows all options] (y):
93 downgrades seems a little over the top so I abstained from this update
unless I get some reassurances and a explanation that nothing is amiss.

Team,
I wanted to ping the collective around this idea before creating. The
idea is to create a focused project within openSUSE around DevOps. This
would include the focused packaging of all of the tools around a DevOps
ecosystem. Namely OBS, Jenkins, etc.
https://xebialabs.com/periodic-table-of-devops-tools/
The open source ones of course. :-)
Maybe we create a DevOps in a box where they can be delivered via an
image for deployment.
This would help promote these tools in the community and hopefully
attract developer teams outside of the openSUSE community to using our
distribution for development.
We would want to promote how these tools can be used together and create
howto's and guides around this.
Really want to hit home the advantages and positively reinforce the
great tools SUSE has available in the CI/CD space.
Does anyone else have any ideas around this?
I want to walk into a company and hear they are using openSUSE or SUSE
Enterprise for their microservices needs rather than Ubuntu or CentOS,
and give me precise reasons why we are better. :-)
Yeah a bit of a dream, but help me make it reality.
Is there anyone interested in this community project? Anyone interested
in joining if I get it all started?
feedback please.
Thanks,

You may have noticed that GCC 6 packages appeared in Factory (but gcc
used for building packages still points to GCC 5). Somewhen in
January I set up openSUSE:Factory:Staging:Gcc6 where GCC 6 is used
to build packages. The status of that is that it depends on the
glibc update pending in Staging:B and it still requires fixing a few
packages, mostly -Werror related. There was a point in time where
openQA was green for x86_64 (and Minimal-X).
Once Staging:B has been accepted I'll formally submit an update
to gcc to make it point to GCC 6 thus obsoleting the above Staging:Gcc6.
That staging can nevertheless be used to look at the current FAILs
which are
build failed
cluster-glue failed
elfutils failed
espeak failed
gdb failed
jack failed
libyui failed
llvm failed
mozilla-nss failed
pesign failed
python3-base failed
xen failed
and can also be caused by the glibc update which I pulled into
Staging:Gcc6.
Any help is appreciated.
Richard.

[opensuse-factory] openSUSE Tumbleweed – Review of the Week 2016/29
by Dominique Leuenberger / DimStar 24 Jul '16
by Dominique Leuenberger / DimStar 24 Jul '16
24 Jul '16
Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers,
Week 29 brought us, as usual, 4 snapshots. Those were 0715, 0716, 0718
and 0720. The most spectacular update was in 0715, but the entire week
is noteworthy as Tumbleweed brought you those updates:
* Plasma 5.7.0
* KDE Framework 5.24.0
* KDE Applications 16.04.3
* Freetype 2.6.5
* Kernel 4.6.4
* The Live images again contain an installer option – now based on
NET install
The following this are still brewing in staging areas:
* TeXLive 2016 – issues are solved, we can expect this in week 30
* Plasma never sleeps: version 5.7.2 pending
Seems short, but we can also see quite some resources from developers
and testers redirected to openSUSE Leap 42.2 – which is a very welcome
addition of course.
Have a lot of fun,
Dominique

Hi,
Just noticed that https://openqa.opensuse.org/group_overview/4 is gone
from openqa.opensuse.org..
Any idea why?
