[opensuse-factory] A note for the developers

Just a note for the developers who put together, for example, the installation group of files and those who do KDE files which contain references to cities of the world for setting time zones and similar. The capital of Australia is CANBERRA, repeat Canberra, and not, say, Sydney or Melbourne (on the East coast). I have yet to see Canberra shown anywhere in the list of cities re time zones, or - when installing oS - the one of the cities one sees listed is Sydney when selecting the time zone. OK, Sydney is a city in the state of New South Wales but it is NOT the Capital of Australia. Thank you for listening. Hi all, Calibre in factory is a bit old. I think we should at least have the last from the 1.x series, which is 1.48.0. To this end I have submitted SR#250476 a week ago. Maybe I am too impatient, but 13.2 is near and nothing has happened with this request yet. Regards, Cor P.S.: Of course it would be best to have the latest from the 2.x series (2.4.0 at the moment), which requires qt5, but for me that would be too much work at the moment. Hi people of Factory I am prepairing an article about 13.2 beta release so I would like to know what is new and what changed since 13.1, please share. I am interested in everything, expecialy in changes that has ben made in the GUI's, server, extra/improved tools, new programs that people will get in the standard 13.2 beta installation and any extra stuff, anything that you guys worked in the last year and believe is important for people to know. Hi, just to be noted that the patch rules-add-lid-switch-of-ARM-based-Chromebook-as-a-power-sw.patch which includes the line SUBSYSTEM=="input", KERNEL=="event*", KERNELS=="gpio-keys.8", TAG+="power-switch" in the 70-power-switch.rules can not be fully corect. This because the "gpio-keys.8" is much to general and may cause trouble with other keyboard layouts. Therefore I'd like to see the output of such a Chromebook of the command: udevadm info -a /dev/input/by-path/*kbd which may give the more specific name of the power button. [opensuse-factory] Is it possible to submit packaged RC versions to factory?

Hi. The other day, chatting with one of the developers of LXDE, he ask me if I could submit a RC version of one of the desktop components to get feedback before the release. I have tried to submit it to X11:lxde but it has been rejected because they only accept stable packages. This is fine and I don't have any complaints about it. My question is, could I submit this package to Factory via system:install:head for example? I see git and beta versions of some packages there and that makes me think it is possible. On the other hand, with the movement to Factory Rolling I suppose the contrary because the objetive now is stability. So I really don't know if it is allowed or not. Having two package sources (X11:lxde and the other repo that I could choose) makes me think that the answer is "no". It is not my intention to make a rule of this and start submitting RC packages, but this one is going to be a 1.0.0 release and it is supposed to be an important milestone. Currently I have the package hosted in my home project but It doesn't have the same visibility that it could have in a more prominent repository. If the answer is definitely "no", what ways do you know to help testing small projects like LXDE that doesn't have a big user base? Thanks in advance.
