At the moment I am trying RC1 on two different systems. There was just an update off 1.6 GB. Is there a way to use an intelligent mirror on my own network? Then things only need to be fetched once. Hello listmates, I'm running openSUSE 11.2 RC1 and I have seen that the ISO MIME type is not configured on KDE 4.3.1. When I try to open an ISO file, K3b is not launched and you don't have the option to browse the contents of the ISO file either (iso:/). Is anyone experiencing the same thing? Hi. Here's my situation: I have a test machine which I update once or twice a week. I save the update rpms, and when important things are in sync (I can run vmware, for example), I take the saved rpms over to my work machine and do an update there. It has been such a long time since I've updated the work machine that I have 100,000 update rpms for an installed base of 10,000 packages. Some of the package updates have 15-20 versions. Hello, What are your thoughts about this , is this possible or useful. Is anyone else seeing very slow downloads when trying to update factory packages? For me, it's been going on at least 14 hours now. I have been getting errors such as: Failed to download ./suse/noarch/bundle-lang-kde-en-11.2-19.1.noarch.rpm from http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/ Or very slow (2-5 KB/s) initial downloads on larger (20-25 MB) packages that will slowly speed up as the package is downloading. Hello, i don't found any of this in Bugzilla can any test my Problem ? I have a 10.3 system (server), on this system 2 partitions are exported /data1 /data2 with the 11.2 only one partition are mounted on start "/data2--> /datas2" I can mount "/datas1" after systemstart with "mount /datas1" a other Problem I can't found any logs for the nfs mount on the 11.2 system ? [opensuse-factory] PS/2 keyboard does not work while install suse11.2 RC1

Hello everyone, i tried to make the 11.2 RC1build 331 install, but the keyboard (PS/2) does not work in the graphic installation environment. (using german layout). I tried another keyboard (also PS/2) without success. The keyboard which i use works well in Suse 11.0 and 11.1. Try the option "secure kernel" helps and keyboard works in textmode. Does anyone know whats wrong? I allready send a message to radeonhd(a)opensuse.org, but I did not get a response yet. Maybe someone hear nows a solution. I tried to get a xorg.conf by installing Kubuntu. Kubuntu works okay in graphical mode, but it does not install a xorg.conf file. All the lines in /etc/hosts.allow start with a tab. This gives a lot of warning messages in /var/log/messages (missing ":" separator). This morning I installed the hostapd package in 11.2 RC1 and was quite surprised to see that the version was 0.5.10, even though 0.6.9 is the current stable version. The difference is significant in that 0.6.X is required to use the nl80211 driver in hostapd. With that change, nearly all the wireless devices based on mac80211 can be used as an AP. Guys, One thing that has always been a pain with samba is that suse splits the init scripts for nmbd and smbd into separate scripts.
