[opensuse-factory] Enabling SELINUX failed

Hello Listmates, I attempted to enable selinux on my 11.2 Rc1 but it fails with the error: no selinuxfs found. I followed the "how-to" as per en.opensuse.selinux but it seems something is lacking from my understanding, or perhaps from current kernel. Suggestions are welcomed. All, I've been trying to edit the 11.2 Upgrade pages on the wiki. I came across <http://en.opensuse.org/Wagon> which had no content at all. I've added some, but I guessed at much of the overview because I don't know the background. Hello, (sorry if this is known) i ran into a problem after doing a zypper dup yesterday, upgrading to 11.2RC2 from 11.1. on a thinkpad X200 laptop. When booting (normal kernel or failsafe, doesn't make a difference), the system gets stuck after Starting HAL ..OK The system is still responsive to the SYSRQ key and to ctrl alt del. When I boot into runlevel 3, I can switch to runlevel 5 by hand without problems, but booting into runlevel 5 directly hangs the system. Does anyone have a … [View More]

I just installed 11.2RC2 on my netbook (Asus EeePC 1005HA), and it's working well.. but... it's totally ignored the other Linux distro I have installed. Hi, While moving all my data from Macs to RC2, I setup multiple calendars in KDE Kontact, similar to what I had in OSX. Hello, Did anyone successfully install the nVidia binary driver on RC2? I downloaded it from http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_190.42.html , which compiled, but the kernel module itself could not be loaded :-( Is there / will be there an nVidia repo, like there was one for 11.1? [opensuse-factory] yast wagon question

All, I just did a test run of "yast2 wagon" from my laptop. (gui equivalent of zypper dup) I was already at RC1, so it should not have done much. But I had enabled the source repo prior to running wagon. wagon caused 1000+ source packages to download. Is that by design? Or is it a bug? Hi, With the migration to Factory, I've moved my partitions to ext4. In my /etc/fstab, I've configure 'usual' partitions like, /boot ext3 noatime,acl,user_xattr swap swap defaults / ext4 noatime,acl,user_xattr,journal_checksum,barrier=0 /home ext4 noatime,acl,user_xattr,journal_checksum,barrier=0 which all seem pretty clear. Hey Group; Where has the information previously held in xorg.conf being held? /etc/X11/xorg.conf can be removed with no effect. SaX2 write xorg.conf correctly but X fails to read it. I want to congratulate the 11.2 developpers. Just now I could install (from kde4 live cd, install from the initial menu) this very new distribution on an old compaq computer with only 256 Mo ram (windows said 248Mo). It lasted 2 hours, mostly due to a very slow cd reader, and there was a little glitch. after the restart, at 67% config, probably on the network config, the install stopped. Hi all. I´ve just noticed Gnome RC2 already uses new splashy theme for hibernate(suspend to disk), but KDE RC2 when goes to suspend to disk, still uses "the sleeping penguin". When the KDE system awakes, uses the new splashy. Known issue, or shoudl i file bug? [opensuse-factory] 11.2/RC2 problems when installing with resolution 1600x1200

When choosing resolution 1600x1200 for the installation system on an system with nvidia GeForce 7800 GT graphics and HP LP2475W flatscreen monitor I get a garbled screen . After installation the system is capable to use the 1600x1200 resolution without problems. Workaround for the problem is to use a lower resolution for installation. I installed 11.2/RC2 on an Athlon XP 3200+ with an nVidia 6200. I can't get the site hulu.com to play any videos. I tried in Firefox, Konqeror and Opera. Each time the loading video locks up the browser. The browser eventually frees up but flash player disappears. Youtube seems to work ok, but not hulu.com. I even tried to install the plugin from Adobe's website and the same results. I'm not running the nVidia drivers because I didn't see a repo for it yet. Anyone got any ideas? Thanx -… [View More]

Hi! I installed rc1 on my laptop and got stuck mounting my crypted /home. It complains about the filesystem type (mount -t auto ??? ). I tried manually mount /dev/mapper/cr_sda8, but the filesystem seems corrupt now :( . This evening I started an attempt to use zypper to upgrade from 11.1 to 11.2. I had a 11.1 system, using quite a few OBS projects and a few other external repositories. I disabled all the other repositories and updates oss, non-oss and the updates repo's to the 11.2 ones. At this point I did "zypper update zypper" in order to get a fresh zypper, which I thought would help the full update. Hi, Just a quick note to avoid more people confused: factory and 11.2 are two distinct projects since RC1 and as such you have to decide for yourself now if you want to stay with factory or switch to 11.2. If you have factory repos enabled, you will get factory, if you have RC1 installed, the repos registered will give you 11.2 (once RC2 is out).
