[opensuse-factory] RC1 F@H low cpu usage

Hi Suse experts. I installed Suse11.0 RC1 64bit on an ASUS M2A-VM with an Phenom 9600BE and 2x1GB RAM. The computer is build to run the folding@home smp client. Usually this client uses 70%-90% of the cpu for its scientific calculations. With the Beta3 and RC1 the client only uses about 30% (have a look at the "top" output below). Is this a known problem? [opensuse-factory] Widescreen resolution problem in instal? (1440x900)

Hi, I have noticed that I can not get more than 1024x768 while installing on my HP 6510b with 1440x900. The correct resolution is set after the installprocedure is set, so it's not a major problem. Is this something solveable? I have tried to google for a solution but came up empty. Another issue is that I can not do CTR-ALT-BACKSPACE to reset X. Is there a change on this? [opensuse-factory] Release Box version? Will it include second DVD with all.. like 10.3

Hello, Now that we are getting close to the Release, YAH!!!! I want to make sure we are going to get the extra DVD like we did with the 10.3 Boxed set. That is my main reason for purchasing the Boxed set. [opensuse-factory] Problem with mounting USB flash disk

Hello. I wonder if anybody else have also a problem to mount an USB flash disk on openSUSE 11.0 (RC2 in my case). Dmesg shows attached USB device but it doesn't see a filesystem on it. There is no device created in /dev/ dir so I can't mount it manualy. It works in 10.3 without problems. Hi all, not sure how many of you are using the quite common Lucent / Agere ORiNOCO wireless card. In the past there was no wpa support available for orinoco_cs, now some folks at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=304217&page=10 seem to have fixed that. I am currently running their driver happily and was thus able to raise security on my AP. So I invite you all to support http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=304217&page=10 to get it done rather fast. Audacity does work if I use alsaconf, but the sound is very quiet. I assume I need to up the volume in alsamixer, but that does not run. I also tried the set volume in yast2 but that says there is UI Syntax Error Invalid argumenst for the Slider widget Check the log file Does not say which log file..... Does anyone have any idea what file(s) I'm missing or what isn't set properly? ALL media players will play movie clips (wmv) but I only get audio....no video. 'Same for DVDs. I just did a 11.0 update....over 1,000 files....still have the problem. I'm using KDE 3.* Thanks! [opensuse-factory] Please include smbmount in 11.0 kernel

Dear all, Sorry to be late, but just recently installed 10.3 and I found that smbmount had been left out from the kernel. I used to work with 10.1 which had smbmount included, but I wasn't able to mount my net-drive with 10.3 due to the lack of smbmount in the kernel. Since my net-drive doesn't mount with cifs (all kinds of errors) but does mount with smbfs, I wished Suse 11.0 would support smbfs again (like with 10.1). Thanks for the great product, looking forward to the releas of 11.0! [opensuse-factory] Vista again (bug#396444)

Hi, I'm still unable to reproduce a breakage unless I really try hard to break it. So I would be really grateful for everyone having time and a spare vista to test - vista can be easily repaired if you have an original DVD (these OEM recovery DVDs are unfortunately pretty useless ;( Currently I have only two options: delay 11.0 or close the bug as WORKSFORME. And Vista seems to be really touchy about other operating systems next to it - google suggests that it's able to break vista boot with almost all of them. But it's pretty unusual that so many people report the same problem with a specific release.
