Hi all,
I'm new to this list, though I've run Suse and opensuse for a couple of
years now, and linux for much longer than that.
I manage a small cluster of machines that ran a mix of suse 9.1 to 10.1.
I finally was able to successfully bring them all up to x86-64 opensuse
10.3.
The last machine I worked on was originally a 32-bit installation. The
CPU was upgraded to 64 bit. Up till this point, I was able to drive a
pair of viewsonis vp 181s with a matrox 450 with Xinerama in "clone off"
mode, to esssentially give an extended desktop.
With 10.3, I am unable to re-create that setup. I am stuck with X in
clone/mirror mode.
Below are the relevant parts of the xorg.conf. Am I missing something,
or should I file a bug report ?
Thanks much folks.
cheers
vinai

Dear listmembers,
after about half a year of waiting I can state that they've arrived where I
hoped them to arrive for quite a while now:
the latest fglrx-driver supports YUY2! So, tvtime is back to functionality
again.
So, apart from the fact that yast (opensuse 10.3) writes parameters into
xorg.conf that make my monitor fail (too high resolution for Elsa Ecomo 750,
1900x1600 or something similar, the largest acceptable resolution is
1600x1200) everything seems to be up and running now.
Only to let you know!
Thanks ATI and everybody who has been spending lots of time with this driver!
Take care
Dieter Jurzitza

hi list,
i am not sure where the problem originates (Xorg or Motif) but these are the symtomes:
Programms using Motif on 10.3 (OpenMotif 2.3.0-23) are terrible slow because they refresh very often
(you can see the lines drawn) using OpenMotif 2.2.3-11 (OS 9.3) solves the problem.
is anyone aware of this problem ?

Hi!
Please, first excuse me if this isn't the right place to make this
question, and second about my bad english...
I have a machine with opensuse 11 updated up yesterday. The nvidia
driver is the latest 173.14.05 for i386. My vga a Nvidia Quadro FX
540.
I like to play with Bzflag, but since I upgraded the last 10.3 system
to 11, is impossible because no brigth in the game... How I could
say... All is dark. I could see something fixating a lot my eyes, but
all in general is very very dark. And the Bright function in the game
Bzflag is not working (when I move to "more bright" nothing happens).
The rest of X system is working and looking very right (kde4 is really
wonderful).
Here is an "lspci" of this machine:

Also, attached to this mail are the Xorg.0.log file and the
/etc/X11/xorg.conf file. Note that "xorg.conf" have commented the
monitor refresh lines.
Thank you very much.
