Hi all!
I have problems with my Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9600 Pro graphics
board.
I have installed the glx1_linux_X4.3.zip package from
http://www.schneider-digital.de/html/body_download_ati.html
and got 2D working fine with the fglrx module.
Unfortunately 3D (after switch2xf86_glx) produces broken output. The
upper half of the screen or window is fine, but the lower is either
completely black (glxgears) or shows only the background (the mountain
range in tuxracer, but not tux and the course itself).
With mesa everything looks fine, but it's of course no real long time
option.
The X packages I have installed (did the SuSE YOU after initial install)
are these:
XFree86-4.3.0-15
XFree86-GLX-4.3.0-15
XFree86-devel-4.3.0-15
XFree86-fonts-75dpi-4.3.0-15
XFree86-fonts-scalable-4.3.0-15
XFree86-libs-4.3.0-42
XFree86-man-4.3.0-15
XFree86-server-4.3.0-63

Hi all,
I've got SuSE 9 and want to set up my monitor on it.
I have a SCEPTRE D50X 15 inch and the companie doesn't
provides linux driver.
I was on RedHat 9 and had the same problem. With this
distribution, I use the 'Generic svga' driver that
comes with it.
But, in SuSE 9, I don't see a generic driver.
How can I solve this problem ???
Could it be the color resolution ???
Thanks a lot,
Nic

Hi,
XVideo on my System (SuSE 8.2, XFree86 4.3.0-111, KDE 3.1.4, ATI XPERT 2000)
is very slow, for example with MPlayer or tvtime.
The upgrade to build 111 should fix this, but it doesn't.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Mathias
Hi
I'd like to turn up the logging levels of kdm, normally (in other
linuxes) I'd edit /etc/inittab to look something like
x:5:respawn:/opt/kde/bin/kdm -debug 8 -nodemon
where in suse 9.0pro can I set this?
thanks
Dave

Intel has previously released accelerated drivers for the I810 chipset which
are basically from the DRI project (dri.sourceforge.net). I was able to
install these, and newer ones from dri.sourceforge.net, successfully in
Mandrake, but since switching to SuSE 9.0 I am unable to get any of them to
work.
Has SuSE packaged these? Or has anyone gotten these drivers to work on
whatever version of X ships with SuSE 9.0 Pro?
Thanks,
Chris
My monitor has never been on the list of monitor that you choose from when you configure X with SaX. How can I add it?
At first I?d like to add it on my machine. The data could also be added to the project database as well.
ROMAN.
