Dear listmembers,
I found some stability issues with RADEON, 3D and SMP on SuSE's xorg version.
After some discussion with people from the xorg mailing list I downloaded the
latest weekly build from xorg and found that some of the files there are
older (!) than what SuSE provides with the 6.8.2 release.
Is there a SuSE-internal development process ongoing so that the sources
within the SuSE - SRPM (xorg-x11-6.8.2-30.src.rpm) / X11R6.8.2.tar.bz2 are
more recent than xorg-x11-6.8.99.8.tar.bz2?
Apparently the SuSE file is a CVS-copy, in contrast to the weekly build from
xorg, but I would appreciate if someone could give me a commentary on this.
Many thanks for your inputs in advance,
take care
Dieter Jurzitza
