[opensuse-xorg] graphics support for Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD

Hi, I have a Lenovo X200s with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD the interesting thing is that the driver seems to have problems with the suspend. if I have it running with i915 and the drm module, then the machine suspends. [opensuse-xorg] Twinview on Matrox MGA 400 in SuSE 11.1 causes signal 11

Hi Gurus ;-) I updated my Athlon/1.2 1G Dual Screen SuSE 11.0 to 11.1 last Weekend and Twinview or Clone when activated with SaX2 caused a signal 11 when testing the new configured xorg.conf. Before the update the configuration worked fine. The used hardware is a Matrox MGA G400 AGP with two HP monitors HP A4033A and HP A4331A, which are relatively tolerant with the frequencies. Single screen works fine. But dual scren does not work at all. I even tried a complete new installation to verify wether an update problem could have caused the problem. But even this did not work. I always get the error message that I have to look in /var/log/Xorg.99.log and here I see at all tried screen modi either bad mode clock/interlace/doublescan or hsync out of range or no mode of this name or width too large for virtual size. At the end of this log file is then Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. Server aborting The version of the used X-server is 1.5.2 I tried it only with the SaX2 GUI to create the twinview (xinerama) or cloned dual head configuration. I hope someone is able to tell me whether I'm doing wrong or a magic keyword is missing or a known or unknown bug is preventing to use the twinview screen usage. [opensuse-xorg] Successor WANTED for maintaining build scripts of fglrx driver

Hi I'm searching for a successor for maintaining the openSUSE build scripts of the fglrx driver, i.e. the stuff you can find in packages/SuSE when you extract the ATI installer. These files are version controlled via git on phoronix, so ATI can pick them up for a new (beta) release. Benefits are access to ATI's beta mailing list, early beta releases of the driver and your name being mentioned as maintaining these bits. Apart from me no longer being available soon to update the scripts for newer driver releases , there's also room for improvement for these scripts, e.g. a radical cleanup and adding of new features. [opensuse-xorg] Intel gfx card issues with openSUSE 11.1

Hi :) Sorry for cross-posting, but not sure whether one or the other list should be e-mailed. Seems to me that both are eligeble 0;) Just installed openSUSE 11.1 on my Asus R2Hv and I'm having issues with my gfx card (see lspci below). If I use the "i810" driver I get this error: [...] (II) Primary Device is: PCI 00@00:02:0 (EE) No devices detected. Fatal server error: no screens found But if I use the "intel" driver I get this other error: Couldn't find PLL settings for mode! I've been looking through bugzilla and found that this issue was detected during the Beta phase and has been closed as "fixed": https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=432422 Seems xorg/X11 Intel gfx drivers need a patch and seems it's been applied (bugzilla says so), but doesn't seem to work for me :( I've tried adding these lines to xorg.conf, but still doesn't work: BusID "0:2:0" BusID "PCI:0:2:0" Also tried using the VESA driver, no go. ¿Any ideas, hints, tips, ...?
