Can an Wiki Admin please delete pages marked for deletion.

It seems like a good time of year, to clean out the 50 odd articles and images that have been marked by users to be deleted. They are all automatically in the category: http://www.opensuse.org/Category:Pages_to_delete Ideally an admin should do some checking that the deletion is valid (ie so that someone has not added teh {{delete}} template to an important page). The http://www.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE:Deletion_Policy is an attempt to guide the act of deletion in an agreed and orderly manner (as deletions can be a touchy subject for contributors). openSUSE Wiki translation

Hello again, As I understand it, it will be possible to have localized version of wiki pages on openSUSE in the near future.. In the meantime, is it ok to make some translated pages using the "DE|ES|FR|...-PageName" convention ? Greetings, I was searching through this mailing-list archives to find some informations about translating openSUSE wiki pages, about found some things on the october archives ("Language wikis"). When trying to find if there was some updates on this issue, I saw that there is no mailing-list archive for november.. Possibly, this is only because everybody was busy elsewhere, but just to be sure, can someone check this ? Can't modify Wiki pages

Hello, when I try to modify a page of the WIKI, I get the following error: Error: The system is unable to process the request, user information was missing. I can login/logout of the wiki and also change my own settings. My account has been created a long time ago in the novell/netware world. Since the mailing list archive ends in October 05 I can't search the archive.... Network Problems after Xen Installation with Xen3wiki

Hello, I installed Xen with this manual http://www.opensuse.org/Installing_Xen3 After reboot my network interfaces doesn't work. Is there a manual available howto configurate the xen bridge? Can this be done by YaST? Regards, Andi

Wiki structure

I would like to start a discussion on the general structure of the wiki (including the side and top navigation bars). I guess the first thing is to get the view of the openSUSE core team, as they probably have some plans already in terms of general site navigation etc. and how the different laguage wikis will integrate. Everything contributed to the wiki at the moment is reached through the Documentation page, this to me is simply wrong. I don't think that the project pages, wishlists etc are documentation in that sense. I propose that we have either a "wiki" link or perhaps a "Community" Link on the side navigation, probably replacing the How to Participate link. I have more ideas, and areas to cover, especially on the the User Documentation page - we need to discuss and reach a consensus on what the links and layout should be. Although I'll let the people on the list (if there are any yet :-) enter into the discussion first. Pflodo

When I eneter a webpage, I need to add the www, because otherwise I do get send to the frontpage. Why does OpenSuSE mailing-list are on ezmlm?

I know this is not exactly the right place to ask this question, but among the available mailing-lists it is the closest to the subject. OpenSuSE mailing-list are managed by ezmlm. This is a strange choice considering: 1. There is no ezmlm RPM package in OpenSuSE. It is a bit odd that a distribution uses a software on its servers that it does not even distribute... 2. Mailman has many more features and has a RPM package in OpenSuSE. Why then ezmlm?! Mark

Differences between logged in and not

When I am not logged in, I can edit just a section by clicking edit at the right. When I am logged in, I can only edit the whole page, wich can be a burden with large pages. Is this a bug or a feature?
