I have just installed 11.4 and Libre Office 3.3.1 uses GTK front-end under
11.4. With OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 under 11.3 all was OK.

I just installed KDE 3.5 on 11.4 (final) using a net.iso image. First, only
installing a default IceWM selection, then adding the KDE3 repository for
11.4 (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_11.4/).
In all my builds using KDE3 repositories and 11.4 (M2, M4, M6, RC1, RC2 and,
now, 11.4 final) I have been unable to get KControl.desktop (Personal
Settings) and icons.desktop in /opt/kde3/share/applications/kde to work. All
the other ".desktop" files in that directory work fine.
When KControl.desktop is executed, here's what I get:
http://i53.tinypic.com/29gbuhe.jpg
And when icons.desktop is executed, it immediately brings up KDE Crash
Handler, with the following Trace information:
System configuration startup check disabled.
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
[KCrash handler]

I exported a list of packages in Yast, immediately after I had installed KDE3
using the above installation procedure; I have the list, including version
numbers, for you at:
http://burpnrun.blogspot.com/2011/03/kde35on114.html
Apart from the above, everything else seems to work just fine. TIA.

Did a gen of KDE 3.5 on 11.4RC2 using your repository. 99% seems to work,
just a couple of nits. See #17 at:
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/how-faq-forums/u…
for more details, including the KDE Crash Handler output. Any idea what's
going on, and how to overcome it? TIA.
