==== openal-soft ====
Subpackages: libopenal1 openal-soft-data

==== rubygem-diff-lcs ====
Version update (1.4.2 -> 1.4.4)
- updated to version 1.4.4
[#]# 1.4.4 / 2020-07-01
- Fixed an issue reported by Jun Aruga in the Diff::LCS::Ldiff binary text
detection. [#44][]
- Fixed a theoretical issue reported by Jun Aruga in Diff::LCS::Hunk to raise
a more useful exception. [#43][]
- Added documentation that should address custom object issues as reported in
[#35][].
- Fixed more diff errors, in part reported in [#65][].
- The use of `Numeric#abs` is incorrect in `Diff::LCS::Block#diff_size`.
The diff size _must_ be accurate for correct change placement.
- When selecting @max_diff_size in Diff::LCS::Hunk, choose it based on
`block.diff_size.abs`.
- Made a number of changes that will, unfortunately, increase allocations
at the cost of being safe with frozen strings.
- Add some knowledge that when `Diff::LCS::Hunk#diff` is called, that we
are processing the _last_ hunk, so some changes will be made to how the
output is generated.
- `old`, `ed`, and `reverse_ed` formats have no differences.
- `unified` format will report `\ No newline at end of file` given the
correct conditions, at most once. Unified range reporting also
differs for the last hunk such that the `length` of the range is
reduced by one.
- `context` format will report `\No newline at end of file` given the
correct conditions, up to once per "file". Context range reporting also
differs for the last hunk such that the `end` part of the range is
reduced by one to a minimum of one.
- Added a bunch more tests for the cases above, and fixed `hunk_spec.rb` so
that the phrase being compared isn't nonsense French.
- Updated formatting.
- Added a Rake task to assist with manual testing on Ruby 1.8.
[#]# 1.4.3 / 2020-06-29
- Fixed several issues with the 1.4 on Rubies older than 2.0. Some of this was
providing useful shim functions to Hoe 3.x (which dropped these older
Rubies a while ago). Specifically:
- Removed Array#lazy from a method in Diff::LCS::Hunk.
- Changed some unit tests to use old-style Symbol-keyed hashes.
- Changed some unit test helper functions to no longer use keyword
parameters, but only a trailing options hash.
- Made the use of `psych` dependent on `RUBY_VERSION >= 1.9`.
Resolves [#63][].
==== rubygem-nokogiri ====
Version update (1.10.9 -> 1.10.10)
Subpackages: ruby2.6-rubygem-nokogiri ruby2.7-rubygem-nokogiri
- updated to version 1.10.10
* Features
- [MRI] Cross-built Windows gems now support Ruby 2.7 [#2029].
Note that prior to this release, the v1.11.x prereleases
provided this support.
==== rubygem-passenger ====
Version update (6.0.5 -> 6.0.6)
Subpackages: ruby2.7-rubygem-passenger rubygem-passenger-apache2
- updated to version 6.0.6
Release 6.0.6
- ------------------------------
* Update gemspec with up to date metadata.
* Reverts the addition of the 'etc' gem to the Passenger gemspec, because it broke on normal ruby installs. Closes GH-2283.
* Builds Ubuntu focal Nginx dynamic module package against Nginx 1.18.0. Closes GH-2291.
* No longer providing prebuilt Ruby 2.1 or 2.2 binaries, they have been EOL for years and rubygems no longer supports them.
* Updated various library versions used in precompiled binaries (used for e.g. gem installs):
- ccache 3.7.10 (was 3.7.9)
- Curl 7.71.1 (was 7.69.1)
- Git 2.27.0 (was 2.26.2)
- GnuPG 2.2.21 (was 2.2.20)
- libgpg_error 1.38 (was 1.37)
- libgcrypt 1.8.6 (was 1.8.5)
- RubyGems 3.1.4 (was 3.0.8)
==== rubygem-zeitwerk ====
Version update (2.3.1 -> 2.4.0)
Subpackages: ruby2.6-rubygem-zeitwerk ruby2.7-rubygem-zeitwerk
- updated to version 2.4.0
* `Zeitwerk::Loader#push_dir` supports an optional `namespace` keyword argument. Pass a class or module object if you want the given root directory to be associated with it instead of `Object`. Said class or module object cannot be reloadable.
* The default inflector is even more performant.
==== sbl ====
- Fixes for %_libexecdir changing to /usr/libexec(boo#1174075)
==== snapper ====
Version update (0.8.10 -> 0.8.11)
Subpackages: libsnapper5 snapper-zypp-plugin
- added error handing for failed ambit detection (bsc#1174038)
- version 0.8.11

No, I don't use any out-of-tree modules on the host. I only have Wireguard on
one of the VMs - and that's working perfectly.
VirtualBox certainly is a pain, which is why I moved to libvirt and haven't
looked back pretty much the moment I first heard about it, which was when I had
problems with the darn thing breaking with Qt fractional scaling enabled.
As I've mentioned, it's really weird and at least *partly* seems like some
obscure bug exposed by my... perhaps somewhat unusual (read - cobbled together
from what I could find) setup.
Regards
Radosław Wyrzykowski

==== apache2 ====
Subpackages: apache2-doc apache2-example-pages apache2-prefork apache2-utils
- fix crash in mod_proxy_uwsgi for empty values of environment
variables [bsc#1174052]
- added patches
fix https://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revision
+ apache2-mod_proxy_uwsgi-fix-crash.patch
==== clamav ====
Version update (0.102.3 -> 0.102.4)
Subpackages: libclamav9 libfreshclam2
- Update to 0.102.4
* CVE-2020-3350: Fix a vulnerability wherein a malicious user could
replace a scan target's directory with a symlink to another path
to trick clamscan, clamdscan, or clamonacc into removing or moving
a different file (eg. a critical system file). The issue would
affect users that use the --move or --remove options for clamscan,
clamdscan, and clamonacc.
* CVE-2020-3327: Fix a vulnerability in the ARJ archive parsing
module in ClamAV 0.102.3 that could cause a Denial-of-Service
(DoS) condition. Improper bounds checking results in an
out-of-bounds read which could cause a crash. The previous fix for
this CVE in 0.102.3 was incomplete. This fix correctly resolves
the issue.
* CVE-2020-3481: Fix a vulnerability in the EGG archive module in
ClamAV 0.102.0 - 0.102.3 could cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS)
condition. Improper error handling may result in a crash due to a
NULL pointer dereference. This vulnerability is mitigated for
those using the official ClamAV signature databases because the
file type signatures in daily.cvd will not enable the EGG archive
parser in versions affected by the vulnerability.

[opensuse-factory] Tumbleweed - Review of the week 2020/29
by Dominique Leuenberger / DimStar 17 Jul '20
by Dominique Leuenberger / DimStar 17 Jul '20
17 Jul '20
Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers,
The week started a bit bumpy for Tumbleweed, as openQA was having some
technical difficulties over the weekend. But nothing that our skilled
epxerts could not solve within a few hours. Once every thing was back
in shape, Tumbleweed started rolling full steam ahead and we managed to
release 5 new snapshots (0710, 0713, 0714, 0715 and 0716)
The changes included in those snapshots were:
* KDE Plasma 5.19.3
* KDE Frameworks 5.72.0
* KDE Applications 20.04.3
* Poppler 0.90.0
* GNOME 3.36.4
* Subversion 1.14.0
* Mozilla Firefox 78.0.2
The staging projects are filled up with:
* Kubernetes 1.18.6 and 1.17.9
* LibreOffice 7.0rc1
* Linux kernel 5.7.9
* GCC 10.2 rc1
* openSSL 3.0
* Python3 package will be renamed to python38. The goal will be to
allow multiple python versions to more easily coexist.
* RPM changes: %{_libexecdir} is being changed to /usr/libexec. This
exposes quite a lot of packages that abuse %{_libexecdir} and fail to
build. Additionally, the payload compression is being changed to zstd
Cheers,
Dominique

4.0 Updates from individual teams
===================================
4.1 openSUSE Leap Release Management
Owner: Lubos Kocman, Gustavo Yokoyama Ribeiro
First partner/customer interested in SLE to Leap migration
We've received user story and partner has shown special interest in
Leap on s390x.
https://etherpad.opensuse.org/p/opensuse-sle-to-leap-migration-call
SUSE's followup questions to understand usecases even better
https://etherpad.opensuse.org/p/opensuse-sle-to-leap-migration-call-response
New landing page https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Leap/Partners
Initiated discussion with openSUSE Board (Dominique, and Max are in cc)
regarding policy for "What" and "Who" can do certain Release Engineer
operations in openSUSE Jump and Leap.
This could provide answer to questions such as: Can a non-SUSE
Employee have a right to define the build-key for entire distribution
etc.? This is an action item from the Tier1 policy discussion.
Looking for s390x rel-eng for Jump and later Leap. Any volunteers are
welcome. We're looking for someone who can help us with s390x builds,
and can resolve outstanding issues such as openQA/s390x etc.
For those who don't know we have a s390x builder available in OBS.
lkocman: FTO until August
===================================
4.2. openSUSE Leap Release Engineering
Owner: Max Lin, Guillaume, Michel
Max: according to the discussion at Rel-eng meeting. We've agreed to
disable non-x86_64 architectures in Jump product build, to avoid the
space issues during the ftp tree build.
Some build issues need to be fixed in backports, eg. scalapack-openmpi3
has to be fixed in the backports project, for the time being Max sets
ignore_missing_packages in the Jump ftp tree product to workaround this
issue.
Nex step: setup openQA job group and enabled openqa-obs-sync - So we
can have a jump media test in openQA(x86_64 only until we've bigger
enough space to support multi-arches ftp tree build).
lkocman: openSUSE Leap next (15.3?) is blocked on the openSUSE Jump
progress. We want to finish that first.
Guillaume: will openQA job group be available to other arches as well?
Max: right now only x86_64 since other arches are disabled (see
paragraph above). We're blocked by larger SSDs.
Michel: blocked by powerpc and arm ftp tree builds.
===================================
4.3 SLE Release Management
Owner: Alex Herzig, Stefan Weiberg
No active actions taken this, week, delivery of maintenance updates is
progressing though.
Stefan: Information for 15.3, we're currently still working on the
staging setup. We have to have a proper SCC.
===================================
4.4 Autobuild
Owner: Lars Vogdt, Adrian Schroeter
Not present. Adrian reported that Jump is blocked on the ftp-tree-build
(not enough space on builders).

===================================
4.7 Package Hub
Owner: Wolfgang Engel, Scott Bahling
We're still cleaning up remaining build issues. There is a handful of
packages which are not building. This will affect openSUSE Jump. I've
been working with Adrian to figure out why do we have certain
unresolvables.
===================================
4.8 Beta Program
Owner: Vincent Moutoussamy
Not present
===================================
4.9 Engineering / Product Migration
Owner: Jiri Srain
Migration QA - Raised questions about SLED release package and
obsoletes. The answer is that the missing obsoletes to opensuse-release
package is expected.
===================================
4.10 Engineering - Kernel
Owner: Libor Pechacek
We're now working on the SLE 15 SP3 kernel planning.
No capacity left at this time as team is busy with a specific partner
request.
===================================
4.11 Engineering - Desktop
Owner: Stefan Weiberg, Frederic Crozat
No update
===================================
4.12 Quality Assurance
Owner: Marita Werner
Not present
===================================
4.13 SLE Architect
Owner: Thorsten Kukuk
Not present
===================================
4.14 Marketing and Community management
Owner: Douglas DeMaio
no update
Can we clarify the schedule for Jump, October seems to be close and
we're not in Beta phase.
Adrian: creating images is the easy part, we'll have project at that
time. The question is if contributors will accept the Jump workflow in
place.
We could have something regarding the timeline or talk about the image
on the conference 15-17 October.
Stefan: Let's try to keep that date.
lkocman: we could use survey.opensuse.org for the feedback.
===================================
4.15 Gerald
Owner: Gerald ;-)

[opensuse-factory] KDE konsole injecting additional new lines when pasting text from clipboard
by John Paul Adrian Glaubitz 17 Jul '20
by John Paul Adrian Glaubitz 17 Jul '20
17 Jul '20
Hello!
Since a few months, the KDE konsole application is suffering from a rather annoying regression
which causes any text copied from a desktop application to be pasted with extra new lines
in the terminal. This behavior is not reproducible with GNOME Terminal.
Anyone seen this as well and knows how to fix it?
Adrian

Version update (1.15.0+20200117 -> 1.16.1)
- Version update to 1.16.1
Security:
* Prevent possible use-after-free and double-free in ares_getaddrinfo() if
ares_destroy() is called prior to ares_getaddrinfo() completing.
Reported by Jann Horn at Google Project Zero.
Changes:
* Allow TXT records on CHAOS qclass. Used for retriving things like
version.bind, version.server, authoris.bind, hostname.bind, and id.server. [3]
Bug fixes:
* Fix Windows Unicode incompatibilities with ares_getaddrinfo() [1]
* Silence false cast-align compiler warnings due to valid casts of struct
sockaddr to struct sockaddr_in and struct sockaddr_in6.
* MacOS should use libresolv for retrieving DNS servers, like iOS
* CMake build system should populate the INCLUDE_DIRECTORIES property of
installed targets [2]
* Correct macros in use for the ares_getaddrinfo.3 man page
- Changes in version 1.16.0
Changes:
* Introduction of ares_getaddrinfo() API which provides similar output
(including proper sorting as per RFC 6724) to the system native API, but
utilizes different data structures in order to provide additional
information such as TTLs and all aliases. Please reference the respective
man pages for usage details.
* Parse SOA records from ns_t_any response

* CMake: Add CPACK functionality for DEB and RPM
* CMake: Generate PDB files during build
* CMake: Support manpage installation

prevent complaints about CPPFLAGS in CFLAGS.
* Fix .onion handling
* Command line usage was out of date for adig and ahost.
* Typos in manpages
* If ares_getenv is defined, it must return a value on all platforms
* If /etc/resolv.conf has invalid lookup values, use the defaults.
* Tests: Separate live tests from SetServers* tests as only live tests
should require internet access.
* ares_gethostbyname() should return ENODATA if no valid A or AAAA record
is found, but a CNAME was found.
* CMake: Rework library function checking to prevent unintended linking
with system libraries that aren't needed.
* Due to use of inet_addr() it was not possible to return 255.255.255.255
from ares_gethostbyname().
* CMake: Fix building of tests on Windows
- Drop regression.patch which have been fixed upstream
- Refresh disable-live-tests.patch
- Remove static lib since its required when doing tests and we dont want it
included in package

==== cervisia ====
Version update (20.04.2 -> 20.04.3)
Subpackages: cervisia-lang
- Update to 20.04.3

==== cppcheck ====
Version update (1.90 -> 2.1)
- Update to version 2.1
* We have tweaked build scripts.
* When you use USE_Z3=yes, we will handle new versions of z3 better. If you
have an old z3 library and get compilation problems you will need to add
a z3_version.h in externals.
* The cmake scripts was updated.
* There was a couple of bug fixes.
New check:
* for "expression % 1" the result is always 0.
