Hi list, I will be livestreaming next Wednesday from 8am UTC to roughly 10am UTC over on https://www.twitch.tv/defolos and providing a onboarding/tutorial for openQA specifically targeted at absolute beginners (since I am far from an expert myself). If you ever wanted to give openQA a try to test a specific component of openSUSE or improve existing tests, then be sure to join in! I don't expect any prior knowledge of openQA, so this is your chance to get on board of automated testing ;-) If you have any specific topics that you'd like to get covered, feel free to email me in advance. Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers, Due to a packaging change in a low-level package (krb5), I decided to trigger a full rebuild of openSUSE:Factory. Quite a lot of packages reference krb5-config to find the correct locations, but I could not get a conclusive list. The risk of not doing a full rebuild and having all packages follow the changes of krb5 could lead to devastating results, which I did not want to risk. This in turn meant OBS was busy for a bit longer and we only released two snapshots (0717 and 0720). The next one to be published (0721) will be the one with the full rebuild. The two published snapshots brought you these changes: * VirtualBox 6.1.12 * gtk2: Resolve GIMP segfault from accessing memory past end of pixbuf * Linux kernel 5.7.9 * Kubernetes 1.18.6 and 1.17.9 Changes currently being prepared/tested in our staging areas: * Mesa 20.1.4 * GCC 10.2 (the RC did not expose any issues, but was not checked in to Factory) * LibreOffice 7.0rc2 * openSSL 3.0 * Python3 package will be renamed to python38. The goal will be to allow multiple python versions to more easily coexist. * RPM changes: %{_libexecdir} is being changed to /usr/libexec. Hi *, I don't seem to understand the way to get newer package versions into Jump. "Portal:Leap:Jump" [1] tells me that I have to detect where the package comes from: $ osc origin -p openSUSE:Leap:15.2 package coreutils SUSE:SLE-15-SP2:GA As it comes from SLE, the same page [1] directs me to "Portal:Leap/SLEFeatureRequests" [2]. There it says: "Create a Submit Request against openSUSE Leap" Okay, but Leap does not have any other SRs [3] apart from mine, and this since quite a while. Hi, one of the recent TumbleWeed releases makes redshift exit with an error: > redshift -l 49.0:8.0 No protocol specified No protocol specified `RANDR Query Version' returned error -1 Initialization of randr failed.
