[opensuse-factory] amarok crash

Hey Group; Even before the bootsplash from a icon amarok just stops. If I run it from a X terminal I get ~> amarok KCrash: Application 'amarok' crashing... sock_file=/home/donn/.kde4/socket-m1l-suse/kdeinit4__0 <unknown program name>(3676)/: Communication problem with "amarok" , it probably crashed. Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" : " "The name org.kde.amarok was not provided by any .service files" " This is with openSuSE's and several git versions of amarok Anyone else seeing this problem and/or solved it? Plus Flightgear and Blender 2.49A fails Blender fails with. ~> blender Compiled with Python version 2.6.5. [opensuse-factory] Spamming of openFATE

Hi! I am a subscriber to the openFATE mailing list. Of late there seems to be one person identified by the name jpxviii jpxviii who has been going around changing the status of all feature reports [even the done ones] to open for openSUSE 11.4 and HackWeek V, as well as changing the titles of features without any knowledge of what it is supposed to mean. For example, about this feature https://features.opensuse.org/301038 he changes the title from "Improved performance in main menu, app browser and control center" to "Improved performance in main menu, app, browsers and control center" which is ridiculous. I understand that this might not be right m-l to complain abt features.o.o but could somebody please look into this, or at least point me to where I ought to report this so that some action is taken against this sort of blatant spamming? Hello, I can't find an info you may have :-) I can, in YaST2, rpm groups, i18n, localization find package I need. I beg when yast is created this list is not manually compiled. How can I dump it? export gives me only the whole installed packages. --- Mail for bigger audience sent to -factory mailing list... --- We're preparing Zeitgeist 0.5.0 for inclusion into Factory, but this package not depends on python-rdflib, which already does exist in devel:languages:python. A direct mail to the users listed as 'maintainer' (using osc maintainer of course) did not yield any result yet and I'm not 100% sure if the users are willing to forward the package, as this gives them the 'maintainer responsability' for a released product (or to be released - 11.4). Could anybody with sufficient privileges on devel:languages:python please submit python-rdflib to openSUSE:Factory? If you wish you can also grant me maintainer on the package (user dimstar) and I'll take care of it (as time permits and as good as I can) in the future. Thanks a lot! Why is it that after running "rpm -q *" as root I get. package Public is not installed package public_html is not installed package screen-configurations.xml is not installed package signature.comcast is not installed package SQL is not installed package student is not installed package SUSE-Linux-10.glabels is not installed package Templates is not installed package tmp is not installed package txt_docs is not installed package udev-rules is not installed package Videos is not installed package vlc is not installed package weekalarmrc is not installed package xine+anarok.txt is not installed package yast-devel-1.eml is not installed 100 of lines of this. Yet they works I loaded rpm off my DVD, zypper and again off yast2 with the same result. [opensuse-factory] KDE4 and DBus permissions

Hey Group; Where is it set that DBus has now permission to see or use a new version of Amarok? I do download and compile many programs. Like a git of Amarok. openSuSE is becoming a headache or at least KDE4 / DBus is. I am beginning to see Linux becoming to secure when a user can not work with external software. Based on problems thing will not compile and depends fails. I do realize that QT and others upgrade or change. However, why does DBus and other software need to be concerned with registered software won't work. I do come from the days when many small programs are better than big ones. Hey Group; Apparently my DVD load lost something with RPM. I used yast2>software and reloaded it which fixed the problem. So, either the DVD version was ? or then yast2 version works. Anyway rpm -qa worked like it used to. [opensuse-factory] Regression - icon sorting on KDE 4.5 Desktop folder?

I'm not sure if this is me or a general regression. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=227157 is marked as fixed in KDE4.4.1. I'm seeing the same behavior again as described in the initial bug report. To reproduce: - Right-click > Folder View Settings > Display > Sorting > Unsorted - Do something that forces a refresh of an icon/file in the desktop folder (eg edit and save an OOo document stored on the desktop).. A simple right-click > Refresh View doesn't trigger the problem. As soon as that refresh happens, the desktop icons are auto-sorted. Double checking shows that Folder View Settings is still on Unsorted, and Right-click > Icons > Sort Icons shows none of the radio buttons selected (ie it's in unsorted mode). Is anyone else seeing this in 4.5.0? Is this best as an upstream KDE.org bug or an openSUSE bug? Hi, now that 11.3 is released I will request removal of mozilla-xulrunner191 as it won't be supported for openSUSE <next> anymore (most likely). osc shows the following dependencies: mozilla-xulrunner191 : OpenOffice_org OpenOffice_org-bootstrap OpenOffice_org-components OpenOffice_org-libs-extern chmsee kdebase4-workspace libgluezilla0 moonshine These packages need to be checked if it's possible to build them against xulrunner192 or if the deps are bogus (inherited from a package down the chain?). [opensuse-factory] Bye bye beagle

Hi all, The GNOME team is doing the last few steps to completely remove beagle from Factory: beagle is dead upstream nowadays, and we can't maintain it ourselves. FWIW, GNOME is moving to tracker and KDE is using strigi (I guess). I filed delete requests for the packages, and the last thing that is potentially blocking this from happening is that kdebase3, kerry and kio_beagle depend on libbeagle. I'd appreciate if someone could fix this :-) If you notice anything that uses beagle in some way (a patch in a package, for example), feel free to ping us and we'll help you fix this.
