[opensuse-factory] Wireless Frequently Disconnecting

Hi, Running factory, my wireless keeps disconnecting frequently. It disconnects in just about 30 seconds after it connects. All the time, /var/log/messages and dmesg is constantly printed with a lot of messages. I am attaching the outputs of dmesg and /var/log/messages The wireless card is : PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN [Shiloh] as reported by YaST. Let me know if I should file a bug. [opensuse-factory] Problem with yast2-nfs-client in 11.3 RC1

I found a problem in 11.3 M7 in which the YaST NFS Client modules did not create the host directory or the necessary fstab entry for an NFS mount (Bug 608166). A patch was prepared and tested that updated the package version from 2.19.2 to 2.19.3 as is shown in https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=yast2-nfs-client&project=Y…. When I check the version installed with 11.3 RC1, it still is 2.19.2 and the bug is still present. Why? What does it take to get the new version pushed into Factory? Choqok 0.6.6 as currently part of 11.3 is going to break when Twitter removes HTTP BASIC auth on August 30*. Support for the new OAuth auth system is being worked on but is currently only taking shape in Choqok SVN, and uses a new external libqoauth. Choqok's network layer has changed significantly between 0.6.6 and the 1.0 beta code currently in SVN, making a backport likely a lot of work. Is it better to include the new libqoauth package and update 11.3 to the ("quite stable" - choqok author) 1.0beta1 code now, and online update when the oauth support is working, or leave as is and add libqoauth and choqok 1.0beta1 via online update? Released versions including Choqok (11.2 and newer) will need updates as well. I've been through a couple of zypper dups since which updated xorg files. What else can I look for? [opensuse-factory] yast2 printer gets confused by " in the description string

Dear Factory, today I came across a problem I had already with 11.2, and which is still there in Factory. When configuring a printer and afterwards setting a description string which contains ", Yast2 fails to re-read the printer configuration. The problem is that the " is not quoted in the configuration files and causes the parser to give up. I guess either a check for problematic characters in /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/autodetect_print_queues or directly in the gui would fix the problem. [opensuse-factory] dolphin and fish (11.3 last zypper up)

Hello :-) I know Dolphins like eating fishes :-) but I like to use fish:// from dolphin (to update my photo gallery), but now with 11.3 recently updated it don't work It works right now with 11.2, but I never tryed it with 11.3 before. sftp don't works either (but may be I have to configure vsftp?). ssh and ftp work very well. is this a known problem, or simply I have to setup something I forgot? [opensuse-factory] Intel 945G - Firefox showing rendering websites as garbled [bug 602727]

Hi! I have reported this bug [https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=602727 ] with M6 and it is still very visible with RC1 as well. It relates to firefox not displaying the website http://www.cricinfo.com [and probably others] cleanly, but showing a very garbled screen. I am beginning to believe this is an X related problem as I do not see such garbling on my ATI chipset machine. It only happens on the machine with the Intel 945G chipset. If someone who knows about this let me know how I can make the bug report more useful, I would be happy to do do, but at the moment it looks to be a really very visible and irritating problem. [opensuse-factory] Missing login sound for the GNOME desktop

Hi! The login sound for the Gnome desktop that is enabled at "Startup Applications" [gnome-control-centre] executes this command:- /usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play --id="desktop-login" --description="GNOME Login" However there is no file with this id, and executing this command on the terminal simply gives Failed to play sound: File or data not found The correct command, that plays a login sound correctly, should be /usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play --id="login" --description="GNOME Login" If the intention is to disable the login sound for Gnome [which is quite alright I think], this should be done by disabling this auto-startup command instead of having a wrong id for canberra-gtk-play.
